I experianced my first honest to god migrane. YAY!
This is the worst thing I have experianced in my life.
The doc put me on 800milligrams of ibuprofin. What good drugs do they usualy offer? To bad valium isn't offered

My sister used Imitrex nasal spray and loves it.
You can actually get super hard core stuff for migraines like opiates, but be careful as that shit is way addictive.
There are basically 2 different angles for treating migraines: using something like imitrex to actually stop the migraine, or taking a pain killer to help the pain while it runs it's course.
As for pain killers, there is an awesome one called "Stadol" which is an opiate nasal spray which is like 5 times stronger than morphine or some shit. It is actually an opiate agonist which is a little different than a regular opiate (don't want to combine them!) but it is said to essentially NUKE a migraine. I've tried it...but not during a migraine. :-0
Every other opiate has probably been prescribed for migraines at some time but the longer acting ones are more common, like time release "Oxycontin".
Again, this can be a dangerous course to take but if the other meds don't work and you have self control and aren't an addict, pain killers can help a great deal.

I usually take Excedrin. If I catch it when the migraine first starts, and take the Excedrin then, I'm usually ok.
I've gotten them so bad that I couldn't see. Welcome to the wonderful world of shit.

I just relax.
Become an existentialist--if nothing really matters then what the fuck is givng you a stupid big ol' headache?
Take spontaneous naps.
Beat off.
Eat expensive food.
Drink good beer/liqour.
spend some money on yourself and get a little indulgent. You will find that this will eliminate some of the "STRESS" factors of your condition.
Then again if you are an unlucky fuck and got hit with bad mojo, I am truly sorry, but at least live it up a bit.
Learn to respect your meager time upon this rock and enjoy it.
