My response to the whack-job vietnam vets is simple:
the enemy comes from within.
It is not only our dependence upon foriegn oil that has caused us to become Crusaders 2.0 but the blind greed of our corporate culture--back in the mists of history we were a country led by ideals and lofty premises; now we are nothing more than a collection of fat spoiled babies, crying for our oil-soaked teat, biting when it runs dry.
We made Bin Ladin, we made Saddam, we built the Saudi royal family. The same administration that built them up is now in charge of tearing them down. It all points back to our well deserved comeuppance--our past doctrines of infiltration, spheres of influence and above all, our greed have made us into animals. We have violated every tenent of our bill of rights in every way on the way to pay homage to our true god Captial.
Is there such a thing as an honest business man? Yes, but it is far easier to be a crook, a liar, a thief and rapist who steals from the less-informed and under developed.
Ask him why we should continue this--what cost must the world pay for our avarice?
