what is anyone using for p2p? Morpheus preview as stated by Vasudeva is sucking ass, and I never liked Bearshare or audiogalaxy.

Audiogalaxy was kinda okay, but it used web pages too much -- I spent too much damn time on window management and too little actually selecting and unselecting choices.
You've probably heard me say this before, but it's worth repeating: TekNap. It requires a Linux box. (There's a Windows version, but if you can get it working, let me know what the hell you did.)
Go get it, hook up to a server on this super-handy list, and start playing. There are a billion servers out there, none of them proprietary, and tons and tons of content.
If you are committed to the idea of P2P, it's worth getting a Linux account somewhere just so you can run TekNap. Trust me. It's built by the same guy who made BitchX, and the interface is roughly the same. It's command-line, but has a nice interactive menu for selecting which of your hits to download. |
