I was psyched about it and saw it monday night. SCHWEET.
Both Christian and matthew did awesome jobs. Sets, locations and CG were excellent.
They didn't flog the good bits to death (which left me with a desire for seeing more backstory and battle...but desire to see more is not a bad thing right?).
It didn't leave an opening for a sequel...but then neither did highlander.
But I digress.
See it, it is a good movie. B+/A-

i liked this movie a lot. you obviously need to keep things in perspective. there are a few plot points you could argue, but as such, i think they did a really good job with it.
i enjoyed it that the movie played a little more like a drama than a straight action movie. i'm also pleased that they didn't show dragons at every single opportunity. when they did, though, i thought the cg work was amazing.
definitely worth seeing. |
