I've changed the various prices for Alpha/Beta subscriptions in the past, usually downward, but a few months ago I bumped the prices up and made it a monthly payment instead of a yearly one. Some of you complained.
So here's a note.
Your existing subscriptions are unaffected by that change or this post. If you like, you can stop reading this right now and go feed your cat or fold clothes or whatever the fuk exciting thing you do when you're not here and life will not change for you as far as I have anything to say about it.
Having said that, some of you are in non-ideal situations.
For example: you signed up for Alpha years ago and are paying $45/year when you could be paying $30/year. Maybe you're just generous and/or nostalgic. Dunno.
For example: you signed up through PayPal, but did it before I set up the PayPal subscriptions, which is about the same as...
For example: you paid any dollar amount though personal check, money order, baby trade, or knots tied into human hair. This means you have a manual subscription, and not a PayPal subscription. This means I have to look at my records and figure out whose shit has expired and whose hasn't. I'm not a great record-keeper and I loathe bugging people about money and would in fact rather dip my nuts in sweet cream and sit in a box full of kittens than continue having to send out those emails.
The problem: there is no longer a way to get on the PayPal subscription track without using the Subscribe page which makes you pay monthly.
The upshot: the above is a lie. For existing Alphas who want to get on the right track, email me, and I send you secret link, which you use to get on the right track. Everyone wins.

Dunno. Did you pay through PayPal?
If you did, did you sign up for the recurring subscription?
if you answered "no" to either of those questions, then you probably want to get on the cheap, recurring track -- email me for the link.

You cancelled it -- twice, somehow -- then sent me $30 through PayPal, but not on the subscription track.
To get on the subscription track, you have to click a white, square button like I have on the Subscribe page. That is the only way. Paying me directly through PayPal will in fact send me money, but will not set you up on the subscription, meaning a year from now, when your year expires, one or both of us have to remember what the fuck.
This is why I suggest everyone get on the recurring subscription track through PayPal.
This is why I have made a secret link and am ready to email it to any existing Alphas who request it. Such as you.

If I can help: none of them are real. PayPal doesn't ever email you to ask you to update or verify anything. It's all spam. Delete them all. If I go into my PayPal account and make a payment, or add an email address, then I'll get an email from PayPal.
Speaking for purely selfish reasons, please don't nix your PayPal account if you intend to stay Alpha. It makes shit so much easier for me. Yeah, you can send me a check or whatever, but keeping records of who paid when taxes my shoddy devotion to recordkeeping -- so much so that if I got an email from someone who wasn't already Alpha asking to send me a check, I might tell them to go eat my Michael Jackson ass.
