As a fan of The Rolling Stones for over 25 years, I was a little disappointed with their last two studio albums "Vodoo Lounge" and "Bridges to Babylon". At best they could be described as uneven with slight glimpses of early Stones inspiration.

That's all changed with their lasted Release A Bigger Bang . In my opinion this is their best album since "Tatoo You" . Absolutely no weak tracks to be found and even the obligatory two Keith Richards songs are listenable especially Infamy.

If You are a big Stones fan, or just casually like their old stuff I highly suggest you add this to your collection.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I will be serving as security for the Stones and attending their concert for free. I don't really like the Stones. It was my mom's idea. In my opinion, they haven't done anything so spectacular that it warrants watching them at a stadium and paying astronomical prices. But what the hell, I'll watch with an open mind. It's not like I haven't been wrong before.

nothing spectacular?

what about:
Sympathy for the Devil
Honky Tonk Woman
Gimme Shelter
and especially
Miss You
?

I would like your tickets sir, as I am in the Bay Area aka Norcal (I'd also like tickets to System of a Down + the Mars Volta concert but you can't always get what you want (oh snap)).

Let It Bleed was on heaviest possible rotation for the better part of a year many years ago. Coincidentally (?), this is when I was blowing $30 a day on weed and wanted a red satin smoking jacket.

Nowadays the Stones seem like a wierd formaldehyded 90-foot-tall grinding-pop-machine dayglo-pink nightmare-energizer-bunny version of their former selves. But I also don't listen to their records, so I'm basing this on gut and not soul.

i've heard some of the new one and really like it.
i saw them several years ago, and thought it was great. they do it because they love to do it. they pretty much invented stadium rock and seem to know what they are doing.

That's really just one more reason I have to dislike them.

i know what you mean. but the beatles played a real short set with ghastly sound.
the stones figured out the big stage show and a way better sonic experience.
