Cerebus is cool. I've only read a fraction of it. It's a huge and daunting endeavor, and it meanders all over the place. I remember an issue with a huge tower made of black stone faces and Mick Jagger and Keith Richards show up and some other shit happened and Mick had to keep reminding Keith to blink his eyes and there was a Marvel Secret Wars parody going on with a character called SuperSecretSacredRoach. Baffling, but fun.

Cerebus is not my hero. He should't be anyone's hero.
Although he is resourceful, clever, and tough as nails, he is also an arrogant, selfish, abusive alchaholic. He's an enigmatic character, and sometimes it's difficult to tell what he really thinks, even for him - many stories focus on the complex psyche of our small gray friend.
Much the same can be said of LK.
