Hey if Bush says "Katrina exposed serious problems in our response capability at all levels of government and to the extent the federal government didn't fully do its job right, I take responsibility,"
Then shouldn't we be gassing his ass for the murder of thousands??
I mean hell these folks are being charged with Murder!
The owners of St. Rita's Nursing Home in St. Bernard Parish, where 34 people drowned as Hurricane Katrina hit, have been charged with negligent homicide, Louisiana Attorney General Charles Foti Jr. said Tuesday.
"They did not die of natural causes; they drowned," Foti told reporters. "Thirty-four people drowned in a nursing home where they should have been evacuated."
Oh yeah, charge the nursing home owners with murder! How about the doctors who killed their patients, instead of having them suffer?

At first, I thought, "Well how the fuck does one evacuate invalids?!"
Then I read the article in the queue that says they had a contract with a company in case of evacuation. And that they were offered buses (although so was the whole motherfucking city apparently). Now, who knows exactly what happened...but sounds pretty fucking negligent, to say the least. |

Untold billions are going out-enough to buy up Bangladesh and Caracas and in fell swoop with room for central africa-not like we want it.
If the coastline of Venezuela was 5 feet below sea level, I guarantee little katrina would wipe out your export capacity and plunge you into a permenant recession. Don't worry-Halliburton would be there to get your oil refineries back into working order so you can continue fueling OPEC and its world domination.

That was generous, and I don't presume to say otherwise. On the other hand it still falls in the "quid pro quo" world of politics. They want the US to ease up on its trade restrictions and better their policy towards Venezuela.

I don't think you can read. If you have me confused for a republican you are translating things wrong. I have no problem with Chavez. When he expelled the DEA agents I smiled deeply. I would stand up against that. Tax money is getting spread thin. I won't say we shouldn't spend it, but I will say he could have done a fuckload more to stop this from happening. And the state itself is to blame too. THose levees needed to be reinforced and raised, but no one ever pushed hard enough. Now thousands are dead. Will the billions bring them back??
An ouce of prevention is worth several pounds of fixing a fuckt up situation after you let it get all fuckt up.
