I canot delete a .avi video. It says it is in use by another person or program. I have tried to reboot in safe mode. Scanned the computer. Tried to rename it and change the extension. It just won't let me delete/rename or move it from it's current folder. How do I found out what is using it? I can move the folder that it is in but cannot move the video out of the folder too. And I cannot look at the properties for this file.

I left you a little program at yousendit.com. It's up to you to use if you want, but when I've had trouble in the past It's worked for me.
Delete Doctor small a reliable for me in the past. I hope it works for you.
It's pretty much self explainitory.
Give this a try. It might help.

Mofo: Can you move the folder it is in into the Recycling Bin? No I can't. Because it kept saying the file is in use. Thank you sahlgoode. That program did it. Not sure what was going on but it is deleted. This house is clean

go to the run menu and type command
run a utility called attrib with the following entries after the name of the program
atrrib -r -s -w {filename and extension}
that oughta do it
To see how to use all of the features
type
attrib /?
