After all, we get old, and we ask why are here.
Some of us vote Bush, some do not.
Anyway, who cares?
Politic fails in all important questions, it cant produce any new workplaces, nor cant they produce any other things for us.
Politics are dead. There are no hopes, no visions, no dreams.
Is the only meaning of our everday life the fight against Terror?
Politic fails, and it doenst deserve our attention.
Do you really think that the bombs on iraq do change something? (althought i have to admit that they havent killed as much people as s.hussein had)
Whats your opinion?
Do you -believe- in polics?
And more important:
do you vote becourse you have to, or do think that you have done something important?
Do you -trust- your local polician, and why you dont?

Politicians, like babies, are bullshit. They grow up into walking, talking piles of imbecilic shit, perfectly content to stroke the mediocre and encourage action based on emotion, not logic, because it's easier.
Politic fails, and it doenst deserve our attention.
Correct. I used to watch the Sunday political shows religiously, as well as pay close attention to every political news story that came out during the week. I could go through and list the one million other more worthwhile things I do now instead, but it would take too long.

Politics matter. Voting matters.I bet there was probably 10,000-20,000 democratic leaning people that stayed home in Florida during the vote in 2001. If they had all come out, we probably wouldn't be in Iraq. On the other hand Saddam would still be in power. Is Saddam being in power better than being on the brink of civil war?
I think saving over 200 billion direct tax payer dollars might have done some good. Otherwise its hard to tell. The world is a complicated place. But if you care about it you will pay attention to it. This entails paying attention to politics, unfortunately. Paying attention to political talk shows, on the other hand, is a gigantic waste of time.

Well.... how much money would John Kerry convince of the opposite?
They talk about stuff like unemployment (works everytime),
not noting a single time that there simply isnt much conventional work to do out there (every business scientist agrees with me about this point)

I agree with Acheron, which should surprise exactly noone. I just want to point out that the situation to which Acheron is referring would have given us Gore, not Kerry. It's a pretty safe bet that Gore wouldn't have invaded Iraq at all. Whatever. My advice is to enjoy being apolitical while you can. At some point in your life, it probably won't be an option. Government is an insidious and oblivious lurching thing that has a tendency to smash into the stuff we care about.

Haha. Ah the triad of Linkswarm intellectual liberals. Yeah I was referring to Gore, not Kerry. By the time he was on the caimpaign trail Kerry was about as liberal as John McCain, who is infintely more likable. In the senate he's alright. But yeah Gore wasn't in PNAC, wasn't no big war man. I'm sure we would've still gone to Afghanistan, but we probably could have got that done better if it just been that.

Wrong. The war in Iraq has killed more people than Saddam Hussein did, and will kill far more before the war is over. You can talk about Hussein filling mass graves and such, but the numbers are usually around 5,000, whereas in one year of war over 100,000 Iraqis died, probably 200,000 if you count unreported deaths.
That's why politics matters. Because for all you hate on Gore and Kerry, they wouldn't have declared war on Iraq, or at least so they claim. As long as there are treacherous and evil bastards like Bush, Reagan, Lyndon Johnson, Nixon, etc, in politics, then I will also be in politics, because I hate them, and the popular vote seems to be the only thing that's ever worked against them. |
