I've been considering signing up with FindNot (www.findnot.com) which is an offshore proxy service using a VPN for 9.95/month (or cheaper if buying more time at once. Has anyone had any experience with this or any other services? Any suggestions? I'd like something that my entire network (10 computers at most) can use. I can't figure out through FindNot's website if this is possible.

Any input? I know many of you are technologically inclined.

Uh before you shell out dosh for a proxy server rember you can use many for free.

To see if it's worth the money spam uarts blog and get him to bar you and then use the proxy.. The blog program has a list of proxy servers and there's no point paying for one if you can't use it to bypass being banned. To bypass uarts blog I found a nice french server for free that wasn't on the list.

i realize there are free proxy servers. i am considering paying for one to take as little of a hit to connection speed as possible. im more concerned with stirring the dust at the MPAA and RIAA giants' feet than being banned.

i dont believe ive been banned from anywhere d00d.

ok if you're looking to blook the MPAA and RIAA then I suggest a program called protowall combined with a program called BlockList Manager. Use the two togeather you can block most spy traffic. If you use a proxy they can still trace you seeing as most proxy servers are more than happy to dob in users now-a-days.

The great thing is you can use it to block advertising companies like doubleclick as well.

I've also considered the spy-lists and have talked to people that still got cease and desist letters sent to them, even using updated lists.

from what FindNot claims, they do not keep any logs. How true this is, I don't know, but they have a good rep when googling, and are located offline (US laws dont apply?)
