At long last, we have dates and location.
WHEN: September 15 is a Thursday. I think it would behoove us to kick things off that night and continue up until we decamp around noon on Sunday, September 18.
WHERE: Wellesley Island State Park. Roughly 2-hour drive from my pad in Syracuse, and we're about 15 minutes from Hancock International Airport. We're also pleasantly located off I-90 and I-81, have a big parking lot, and a good relationship with Parking Lot Pete.
WHO: Us. You. Significant others. Pets and children are ugly and are discouraged, children especially. Technically, if you were to bring them, we can't shoot them -- but we can punch them.
I'm calling tonight or tomorrow and reserving three campsites at the fore-mentioned camping grounds, all of which enjoy a nice degree of fucking-off-from-others-ness, according to LOki, who masterfully scouted out this region earlier in the season and has just given me a vivid braindump of actual geographical layout of the park..
WHAT I NEED FROM YOU: A commitment to these dates or some variation thereof with maximum verbosity as to expected arrival time. This will allow me to figure out what names to put each site under, in case I cannot put all three in my own name, and it will give me an idea of headcount. There's a max of 6 peeps per site, and if we look like we're going to get near that number, I may reserve more sites. The sites are like $70 each, and there's a fee for cancelling, or else I'd reserve like 5 sites right now.

Sounds like a blast. Lemme see what's happening at work during those three days.
I'll let you know in a few days. I'm flying out to PA Sunday morning to get eyes on a thermal forming process we're picking up for the Navy, so I won't be face to face with the boss until Tuesday.
