Since I imagine most -- but not all -- posts in this forum will be recipes, prefix "Recipe: " to the thread title of any recipe you post. This way peeps can easily find all the recipes and not get deluged with posts that are requests for recipes, admissions of fruitfucking, etc.

Ex:

Recipe: Hot Mother Asslip Chili Con Crape

How home made you want to go? Like to the XTREME?

Because if you want authentic, you should make the tortillas instead of buying the packaged hockey pucks-ala-chewbaka-du-jour.

For beef:

Purchase 2 lbs skirt steak and marinate in 2 cans beer, 1/2 cup lime juice, shitload cumin, handful of cilantro leaves, 3 tablespoons corn syrup. Add some jalepenos if you know what's good for you.

Grill that for a few minutes placing ice cubes on cooked side at first flip of meat. Baste with boiled marinade and grill some onions and bell peppers.

skirt steak = terrible cut of beef = cheap

terrible cut of beef = tough

Ice cubes keep the meat moist while the heat is breaking down the connective tissue. But if you put the cubes on too early, you are wasting your time and if you put them on too late you are a failure.

Put the raw meat on the grill for a bit and when you flip it for that first (and conceivably only) time, this is when you put the ice cubes on the meat.
