Hey fellow swarmers I work for a mortgage company and they are sending me on some buisness trips and I need a good wireless internet card for my lap top does any one have some ideas please help thanx............. |

I've used a few, and they pretty much all work the same, except for the bullshit usb ones

I had decent luck with the linksys 802.11g USB adaptor
I didn't like how much it stuck out though, kept getting bumped out. but I hate most USB keychain devices for that reason, but as far as how it worked, it worked well.
then I bought a real computer with it built in and it got even better.

Get a WG511T by Netgear, a terrific card based on the Atheros chipset (I believe). Great range, supports WPA-PSK with the latest drivers.
Make sure your laptop supports PC Cards though, not only PCMCIA. If you are not sure and want to be on the safe side, get a Cisco Aironet 350 PCMCIA card. It's a little old (11MBs tops), but rock solid. |
