I took Mrs. Steel for Diary Queen today, there was a police car parked all fucked up. I hate it when cops park in ways or drive in ways we would get pulled over for... But that is a topic for another post.
Anyways I find out that just a few moments earlier there were ambulances, firetrucks and more cops.
Someone left their baby in a car and took off.
I really don't know if the baby is ok yet or how long it was in the sun. I it was the hottest fucking day we have had here so far.
Felt like above 40 degrees centigrade with the Humidity.
Whoever they catch for this goes direct to my list!!

When I worked in Allentown, our hospital participated in a program to offer parents an "anonymous" way to drop off unwanted babies in a safe, monitored location. We had a designated room near the ER that had a bassinet rigged with a motion sensor. The parent could drop the child off, the sensor would trip, and staff would come a runnin'. Whenever possible, staff would try to get some basic info about the kid from the parent, such as allergies, prior illnesses, etc. The system was good, but the need driving it was very sad to think about. At least the kids were left at a hospital instead of in a dumpster or an unventilated car.

California's actually got a law now, you can drop a baby off at a hospital, police station or fire station, no questions asked.
Problem is, people aren't taking advantage of it. We're still finding them in dumpsters.

FAMILY AND CHILDREN SERVICES HAVE BEEN CALLED IN TO INVESTIGATE A CASE OF A BABY BEING LEFT ALONE INSIDE A LOCKED CAR...
EMERGENCY CREWS WERE CALLED TO THE LAURENTIAN PLAZA ON WESTMOUNT ROAD ON REPORTS OF A BABY LOCKED INSIDE A CAR IN THE BROILING SUN.
THE BABY HAD APPARENTLY BEEN IN THE VEHICLE FOR TEN MINUTES.
POLICE, FIRE, AND AMBULANCE PERSONNEL ARRIVED AND FOUND THE BABY HAD BEEN REMOVED BY A FAMILY MEMBER.
THE MOTHER WAS LOCATED IN A STORE.
THE BABY WAS NOT HARMED.
NO CHARGES HAVE BEEN LAID.
I emailed the TV Station to get this info. No Charges? WTF? You get a fine here if you leave your fucking dog in the car in the sun!!! I am full of hate!

My son and I once baked chocolate chip cookies in the car during the summer in texas. They were okay, but because they were made from a mix instead of scratch they could have been better.
