I don't think it was cause of Blair/Englands' involvement in the War In Iraq. It was more likely planned to fuck up the G8 Summit. Lots of protesters = plenty of targets. Most people are pointing towards al Qauda, in which case death and mayham where the driving desirer, not war involvement. |

cspan was running the bbc last night. 'whodunnit' was still a big question, in spite of the al queda earmarks. they pointed out that all of the bombs could have been planted at king's cross in the same time window, including the bus, by one or two people. someone also said that such a plan would require a solid familiarity with the transit system, so domestic terrorism (al queda or not) couldn't be ruled out.
on msnbfoxnn, hastert and delay were busy using this to defend the war in iraq.

Heard on the news the other day, that at some point it is inevitable that Canada will be the victim of a terrorist attack!
Kinda iritating that our news is starting to feel like the news in the States.

I suppose stating that poverty is the root cause is over simplifying the problem. I would suggest that it is a whole lot easier to get people to blow them selves up or commit borderline sucidal attacks if they are at a dead end in their lives.Most Muslim fundamentalist terrorist are young poor unemployed Arab men.Easily recruited and indoctrinated into hate.
