Nicely said, Heather. When I was still a lurker last year, I loved reading the newbie posts. There was a lot of ball busting that went on, but nothing really vicious, unless it was in response to someone shovelling spam or hyping their own bullshit site.
Slippedhole got flamed by the Swarm when he first appeared, but he came out of the gate in full balls-to-the-wall asshole mode. He deserved the reaming he got. In fact, he could probably do with another one.
