Because I dunno. Shut up. I'll start:

John Entwistle (ded)
Victor Wooten (human?)
Stanley Clark (venerable)
Flea (fonk)
Geddy Lee (hoser)
Chris Squire (zombie?)
Kenny Gradney (feats)
Rob Derhak (moe.)
Skeet Curtis (pfunk)

I leave out Les Claypool because praise only encourages him to sing. Also John Fuking Pontius, to make him cry.

Billy Sheehan was a really good bass player. But, he played in some of the gayest bands in history.

Is this really a question? Jimi Hendrix played the bass when Noel Redding wasn't good enough, ie Bold As Love, Little Wing, and I think the album version of Red House.

Just good??!!!???!!!??
Fuking amazing, you don't get on the G3 tour cause you suck.
Fuker trades licks with Vai like nobody's bidness.

Cool little sheehan tapping solo.

Also like to give credit to Lenny Kravitz (better known for his other shit), his bass solo in Are You Gonna Go My Way is AWESOME!

I must admit after seeing the Vai Circus last month, there is a fun bit of brotherhood with the bassist, with an amazing six string bass fuck fest with Vai & Sheehan, both playing off of each others instruments. He made a whole herd of horrible sounds with that puppy, and walked away without bleeding.

Maybe not favorite, but Chris Squire of Yes is so much fun to watch! You can tell that he's totally in his element, he was born to play bass, and he's happiest when he's making music.

Bill Wyman could lay down some power for Mick Keith and Ron.

Also, Phil Lesh and hisPhil Bombs always made mushrooms much more fun.

Nobody could touch Geddy Lee in his prime.

Nikki sixx is the first bassist I ever knew and still the best I will ever care to hear........... Unless Lita Ford starts playing bass.

I was just about to mention justin. Fieldy was always a good bassist but I still cannot stomach most of Korn's material.

Umm. Are you serious?

Not only did Sheehan play with Steve Vai on many solo tracks and G3, he also made a couple albums with Paul Gilbert, another hugely successful guitar hero-fag of the 80's (Mr. Big). Also, won 5 different years of Guitar Magazines "Best Rock Bassist".

Dear Mr.Vladfucko,

Geddy Lee during the late 1970's and early 1980's was a creative bass guitar playing muthafucka. He was ahead of his time and doing things not many bass players then or since could accomplish musically.
Yes, I agree today he probably is still one of the best, IF you want him to be a jukebox and play Rush's hits.

He is just no longer the force he once was.

K? thnxs poop.
