So i'm reading the new Time, and there is an article on upcoming movies this summer. Tim Burton has remade this film with Johnny Depp as Willie Wonka. This line caught my attention: Watch for the nut-room scene, in which real squirrels sit on stools, shell nuts and drop them on a conveyer belt. It took an animal trainer 19 weeks to teach 40 squirrels the trick.
Does it get any better than this, folks ?
I like the concept, but the original Oompa-Loompas are so satanic and frightening, i doubt any modern interpretation can do justice. I am sure, however, that Mr. Burton will find new ways to fuck up the kids

Oh shit, I can't wait for this movie. Take the already unsettling plot and characters of Chocolate Factory and combine it with Tim Burton's directing visions.... my brain will fall out of my ear. |

Ont eh way to bury Dad's remains a few weeks ago I saw the local midget out walking. He's gotten old and his hair is going grey. To top it off he looks like he's been applying self-tanning cream at home. All I could think was Oompa-Loompa, everyone wanted to know what I was smiling about. |

I think this movie will be good, but in a different way than the original.
I also don't understand why everythings being remade.

THEY're remaking "Herbie the Luv Bug" and "Dukes of Hazard." THEY remade "Freaky Friday." What the fuck is so great about the 70's that they have to be brought back? At least THEY haven't remade "Benji" and "That Darned Cat." |

Ok, I just saw this trailer for Chocolate Factory and it looks sort of like utter shit. Maybe it's just the direction of the trailer itself, but it looks like Depp wears an idiotic permagrin throughout the film uttering stupid shit not at all like the witticims of Gene Wilder.
Someone prove me wrong, please?
EDIT: The rest of the film looks cool. Bizarrely, it's Depp that is making the trailer suck.

Ditto, Johnny Depp is a fucking overrated tool.
Im sick of directors, mostly shitty and some good(as is mr Burtons case), remaking movies that shouldnt be remade.
Whats next, Ben Hur2, Full Metal Jacket Reloaded? Hollywood thinks a little too much of itself. Oh wait, thats right, THEY didnt crucify Christ.

Shweetbox is just bitter because he didn't get the roll he wanted in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Instead, he got the lead roll in the movie Charlie and the Cocklate Factory.
