Now announcing Boston Beer Party 5. It's been goddamn long enough.
This time around I'm opening it up to all. In the past I've kept these invite-only because the idea of having just any web fucko attend one of our social seances was possibly kind of creepy. Nowadays I think we've got a pretty tight little community so I'm blowing the doors off and letting you all in on the game.
Also notable: . I've had some laziness figuring out when and where but with the help of the magnificent LBP, here's what we're going to do:
1) Boston, late April or early May. You can expect:
- Boisterous mayhem.
- Much drinking.
- Little sleeping.
- Food fights.
- Everyone getting grouchy near the end of the weekend because of #2 combined with #3. Me especially. En garde.
2) Cabin somewhere between Syracuse and the Adirondacks, late August or early September. You can expect:
- Same as above only with fire-cooked meats, water guns and bears.
For the Boston piece of it, we'll be getting a bunch of hotel rooms in a decent-ish hotel somewhere in Boston close enough to the good nightspots that we don't spend an hour on the T. Generally we pack in 4-8 per room. Last time I think it cost us about $25 per person per night over a three-day weekend. If you're delicate you can get your own room near ours. You'll have to arrange that yourself but I'll help make sure your room isn't on the other side of the hotel nine floors up. Contact me by PM or email for infos.
Post to this thread if: - You're overjoyed at yet another BBP.
- You're a complete fag and can't make either date.
- You're going to be able to make one or both of the above estimated dates and have a specific question
- You'd like to reserve a spot in a hotel room for the Boston piece. This is super-important as we (read: the LBP LOVEYOUBABY) need to start reserving rooms and need to know how many and what it's going to cost.
- You can't wait to slap a hot burrito on meta's neck and hear him bellow like a gunshot in a 7/11 on the seedy side of town at 3 AM. (Also important.)
Don't post to this thread if:- You want either portion of this BBP to occur in your living room for maximum you-convenience, or, alternatively, Alaska. Drive, motherfuker.
- You never heard of the BBP and that's all you have to say about that.
- You're black. Just kidding.
Now TIME TO GET ON BOARD AND SUPPORT YOUR BBP, MOTHERFUKERS.

Due to the eldest child's surgery (and my having to pay for it up front with fingers crossed that insurance will reimburse me) I won't be able to make the Boston tour date but I will be there for camping with bears.
Maybe Tammy would like to share my tent/cabin/sleeping bag. |

Final exams start Monday May 2nd and end Friday May 6th. Graduation is the next day, but what the hell I did a graduation last year I know what it is, I can miss one.
Four hours travel time from Bang-Her to Boston one way.
25 bucks x 3 days plus food and brew. I need to get on my back and make some cash.

Well, I'll be in Boston the first week of September. I have nothing to do but visit friends and family, so, if your BBP lands during the time I am there, I'm there. I won't sleep there, but I will spend a few long hours smacking everyone with burritos and other warm flat things covered in lettuce.
As soon as you solidify a date then I can make solid plans too.

fuxorz. End of semester bizziness keeps me at work until mid-May. (Beginning of semester bizziness in September also problem but less than end of April and camping is teh rock.) I heart Boston. I know I'm kinda new and have been rather quiet recently but I'm going to try to talk Chronos into making the trek up there an join in the fagotry as the Florida representatives....we will bring a coconut or something else tropical like the west nile virus.

Well, as for weekends, in April there's 23-24 and 30-31. (There is no April 31st.) Or May 8-9.
So far everyone but Kahuna seems to be able to do April 30-31, which is nice as it means we'd be rocking out on May Day, which means nothing if you're not Russian. (I'm not Russian.)
So, with that being so, I'd say we have our date, and it's up to Kahuna to push his wife's parasite further up in her womb so it lodges there long enough for him to come out on April 30-31.
Also: I'm planning on a four-day weekend, so I figure we'll arrive on the 28th in time to go out that night and leave sometime on May 2 in time to get home before midnight. Plan accordingly, fukholes.
