Man, I thought 28 days later and both Jeepers Creepers were throughly retarded and dull as shit.

On a funny note, the scene is Resident Evil 2 where the lady fucks up her finger and just snaps it back in place. Everyone cringed, we laughed our ass off. The trash truck nailing the SUV was hiliarious too.

I hate scary movies, as, for the most part, I find them retard. I do remember, however, being scared for the spitting dinosaurs in Jerassic Park.

There was this goddamn movie on TV when I was about seven years old. I didn't know the title at the time, but since have learned it was called "Trilogy of Terror." This fuking movie scared me shitness like you wouldn't belive. It was about this horrific demon doll or talisman or something that came to life when Karen Black accidentally let its necklace fall off. The fucking thing stalked her and brutally attacked her in her apartment without mercy! For weeks I wouldn't stand beside my bed, because I thought the thing was underneath waiting to slash me with a steak knife. That was one powerful scary movie for a kid to see.

In "The Wizard of Oz" when the witch has Dorothy imprisoned in the castle tower and the hourglass is running out...that part just scares me silly, and usually makes me cry like a little kid.

Pchimp: Though more disturbing than scary, the image of the slug in the lettuce from Slugs stayed with me a for years.

I've never seen the movie but I used to have a HUGE phobia of worms, slugs, maggots, and so on. I'm still repulsed although not AS scared but any movie centering around any of these creatures would scare the piss outta me.

ghostrideryyz: Nosferatu...still teh skarry shit

hell yea GREAT movie even now

Heather: The whole movie built tension. I was genuinely repulsed in the scene with the pocket knife/lockjaw. On reflection it wasn’t a good idea to see the movie with a hangover while eating pizza and chicken strips but I still enjoyed it. I like get-under-your-skin horror as opposed to the cheap startle-scare tactics.

you know, i was really stoked for saw based on the previews.. and the movie just dissapointed. it was a good plot i thought, decently made, but the acting was horrible and they could have done some scenes differently to make it truly troubling,

Demagogue: Jeepers Creepers 2, where he rips his head off. Wait, what am I saying; When my sister put "Spice World" in and I realized there was no escape.

i saw the first one and thought it was shit when they showed the monster thing like 10 minutes into it. it stopped being scary at that point.

And re: all the comments about 28 days later. I thought it was a really insightful flick with alot of commentary about society and culture, but I don't know that I was really scared so much as jumpy in a few parts the first time I saw it. Sudden movements/sounds/etc are not horror. A real horror movie eats at your insides and isn't focused on making you jump once in a while.

Not containing the scariest or creepiest movie moment I've ever seen or even being the scariest movie I've ever seen, but the movie, a tv movie, that tormented me the most: V.

When I saw V I was about ten or eleven years old, I was a little lover of Star Wars, Star Trek, Galactica, et al. Great, a new scifi movie, briliant! Except....the aliens are planning to EAT humans and grow us as a crop?! And they are stacking tens of THOUSANDS of us into their spaceships like so much cord wood to bring home and make into patte. Okay, okay, get a grip, before the movie is over we humans will find a way to whip these baddies and send them home crying....except, wait a minute...they aren't leaving, we didn't beat them...they're still stacking up more human meat into their ice chests.

I had night terrors for WEEKS after that mini-series. I had become so engrossed in the story and the fact that there wasn't a happy ending that I was having a hard time distingusing between it and reality. I was terrified all night long and woke up quite disraught from the nightmares. It was terrible.

Sure, The Exorcist, Aliens, Ring, Prince of Darkness, and others are all very scary and chlling horror movies. But, few other movies have affected me in such a tangible way as V did. It broke a rosy little part of my mind.

Word. There was something terribly creepy about V.

I'll never forget the scene where Diana (I think) un-hinged her lower jaw and swaller'd down an ENTIRE GUNIEA PIG!

And, yeah, she was kinda sassy hot...which made things more creepy.

I second Alien, and the ankle theme from Misery.

I shall also add Flowers in the Attic. That movie made me feel disturbed for quite a while.

Second 'The Thing' remake. The whole paranioa of being stuck in Antartica and the potential for any of your fellow scientists being the thing.

The Shining, the twins and the boys sojourn into the room with the lady in the bathtub.

I also think the 2nd Freddy freaked me out when that dude was pulled through his water bed when he fell asleep. I watch it now and laugh.

When i was younger i scared as hell of Evil Dead I could never finish watching that movie. I seen it after when i got a little older and now I love that movie. Ash is funny as hell. Oh yeah Exorcist is one of the top scariest movies and then I would have to say Juon part one and Two. For those who don't know what Juon is thats the original Grudge from Japan................

The first time I actually screamed during a movie is when the girl is all relieved, thinking that Freddy Krueger is dead and she won't have to deal with him and then he FUCKING JUMPS ACROSS THE BED. I yelled my head off.

However, a scarier moment was when the girl crawled out of the television during The Ring. I didn't scream because I was busy pissing my pants.

wolfer: I would have to say on Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure when he got a ride with Large Marge. It was on a night just like this.

[Edited on 9/2/2005 by wolfer]

Me too. I'm not a big horror movie fan, and I really haven't been scared by a movie since I was a kid. That large marge shit really fucked with my head when I was a kid though. All kinds of nightmares were caused by that.

I saw The Thing in '83 while trippin and drinking Mezcal, the part with the dogs flippin out in the cage was sick and when it was skitterin across the floor, the whole movie really.
I always dug Re-Animator too, when he brings the cat back gives me chillls sometimes when I look at my kitties, and when dude's carrying around his detached head.

why do people take hallucinogens and watch horror movies? Isn't that just asking for trouble?

Speaking of hallucinogens and movies.
I watched Reservoir Dogs once on like 4-6 hits.
It was pretty funny actually, all of the various scens with blood looked like ketchup. So it was like all these dramatic scenes with ketchup everywhere.

meh.

The dental torture and interrogation scene in The Marathon Man almost makes me puke when I think about it. It always goes through my head before a visit to the dentist.

Actually, that one made me laugh hard.
The movie that really scared me was Requim for a Dream.

Chucky, watched it when i was 6, had nightmares until i was 7. the first one was the scary one, the ones after that were pretty shitty. Now that i watch them again i realize they were all pretty sucky movies. Also watched the Halloween series during a family reunion as an initiation into the family. that was right after i got over chucky.
side note: my sisters put a doll in my room when i was 6 and taped a radio thing to the back of it and then played the movie sounds over the radio. i cried allllllll night.

You will never understand the pain.

Unless you suffer from chronic amnesia, then change your name to Lloyd. Then watch the Shining for technically the first time.

Jaws: The entire movie, but particularly the "USS Indianapolis Monologue". I get chills everytime I see that movie.

Jeepers Creepers: I jumped a few times, even though I knew when something was going to happen. I enjoyed the fright.

The Ring: Creeped me the fuk out.

The Exorcist (re-release): The 'spiderwalk' scene completely caught me off guard. My wife wasn't fazed at all by the Exorcist because at the time she was working with severely disabled autistic kids who were self-injurious. She said the stuff the Regan was doing was pretty much par for the course at her work. The projectile bodily fluids, screaming, and flailing. she said most of the kids acted lke they were possessed.

I just watched the remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It wasn't awful, and it was better then the original (which doesn't say too much).

Arachnophobia: I have never seen this entire movie. When it comes to spiders, I am such a little bitch that I cna't take more than about 5 minutes before I have to turn it off or leave the room.

Psycho: The original. I know that the blood in the shower scene is chocolate syrup. I know that there are no actual shots of a knife actually piercing Janet Leigh's body. I still get the heebie jeebies for a few days after seeing that movie.
