I usually use stylexp, but just have not installed it yet. I have not noticed any extra spy/adware. Now the "free" add on themes that come in an exe file are normally full of that shit.
Pro Tip: If you change your bootscreen and then attempt to reinstall windowsxp at a later date, you will get a error and will need to modify the boot.ini or some such shit.

Cracked WindowBlinds downloaded off a torrent along with other StarDock software depending on the amount of customization wanted. I use IconPackager, BootSkin, CursorXP as well as WindowBlinds itself. No spyware in WindowBlinds.

Simple and Sweet. The chrome skin is amazing. I change the background image about once a month. I also didn't see anyone with the address toolbar. It's pretty nifty.

Hay so I finally got around to using this and it works like a charm; the file replaces uxtheme.dll in your system32 folder which allows you to use unsigned themes without the intervention of a third-party program. There's also a handy installer that does this for you: http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=140707
So. Where can I get some cool Windows themes other than deviantART?
