Forum: $3.00

We hit $3.00 per gallon of regular 87 octane here in South Florida yesterday 8-31-05. I drove by one station that was already up to $3.05, I expect it will continue to climb for atleast the next week or so. It's killing me, I have had to drive my truck this week because my little car is back in the shop. I'm looking at $100 gas bill per week and that isn't much more than basic to and from work driving.

I'm a huge fan of Chuck Palahniuk, the author who wrote "Fight Club" before it became a movie. I love his style and I don't think that movie does the book justice. I own all his books, except for Haunted, which came out the day before my last birthday and for some reason I have not gotten around to buying. Another one of his books, Choke, is currently being made into a movie as far as I know.

I was offered a job a few days ago. I would be the boss, 10K-15K more a year than I'm making now to start and they would match my current benefits. The draw back is that I would absolutely hate what I'm doing. After a few sleepless nights I have decided to turn it down. I love what I'm doing now and enjoy going to work.
