Not sure what the majority listens to here but here is an old station that I listen to. They went off the air years ago but broadcast only on the net. Knac
Hillary Duff will be playing at the New York State Fair. I will not be going.
Beck's latest release Guero is tie-eeet. Check it out. Also banging out the computer recently is the new Nine Inch Nails, System of a Down, and Slipknot's Subliminal Verses Vol.3.
Forum: Midi Recording Software
Anyone out there familiar with the latest software in midi recording technology? My ax(es) are a trapKAT electronic drum interface with Roland TD-5 drum brain (512 sterophonic drum sounds). I also have a Creative prodikeys keyboard controller. I want to integrate these with my Mackie 1214 mixer and MasterTrax Pro midi recording software. Am now looking for (1) a decent midi sound synth module (half rack preferred - what's better - Roland? Korg? Akai? Yamaha? Other?) and (2) a real studio-style software package such as SoundForge, Cubase, Cakewalk or the like. Also I have an IBM T41 laptop that I want to set up as a portable recording studio.

Forum: Guess Which Song?---The GAME!!
Alright, meepes, this is how it works; I will post a snippet of lyrics to a song. You guess which song. Easy, right? Yes and no. A couple of rules:
I'm a big fan of Worldbeat Jazz meep, I also think it's cool that out national broadcasting service plays a diverse range of styles (CBC yo!). I caught an artist profile/interview/set while driving home from work yesterday, and I thought this dude had a really cool sound (very groovy).
A great indie band this is. Read more about them here.
Some would call it artsy. Some would call it a little emo. I just call it good music.
Yeah, they're cool. I just learned about them. How lame is that? meep it, I don't care. My favorite song is Rock the House and Feel Good Inc. The new iPod ad has the Feel Good Inc. song in the background. So, yeah, they are cool.
right here.
Forum: CREAM Reunites Next Month
Thats right, Cream, the band that made Clapton a God (or at least that made him more of a God) is coming back. They were together for 2 years in the 60's before breaking up. Next month they are playing four nights at the Royal Albert Hall in London (Thats adjacent to Hyde Park in the Kensington/Chelsea area).

Forum: New Orleans Jazz Festival
The New Orleans Jazz Festival is by far the best festival i have ever attended. The Festival is over a three weekends and has just some kick meep lineups. The food is second to none, Gumbo, jambalaya, crayfish, and other stuff that makes my mouth drool thinkinking about it.. Beer is plentiful, stands everwhere and a reasonable $3 a can for quality beer. they have a row of port-a-johns as far as the eye can see, never a wait and are cleaned and emptied constantly.
