freakbass's journal: Any ideas for 'strapless' bass stand?

I am thinking about commissioning a local artist to construct a no_strap /bodily contact bass stand for me of some kind. Any ideas? I play a very heavy (35+ pounds) six string custom alembic bass which is so heavy that it has actually tweaked my spine a bit over the past 10 years. I'm currently going to a badass chiropractor 3 times a week who is helping me correct it (insurance here pays for chiro, acupn, naturopaths) but in the mean time I am hoping to play hands off.
