Wrecker's journal: My Signature: "Grab hold of the humpstick"
Kids really are awesome, I cannot stress that point enough.
Pranks in the military are (or were) commonplace when I was serving. Back when I was onboard the USS Caron (DD-970) pranks were a vital part of life that kept you from flat out losing it.
Wrecker's journal: The Sea Monster
During my tour on the USS Caron, part of my time was spent serving as the division Damage Control Petty Officer. As the DCPO it was my responsibility to make sure that all the fire stations, battle lanterns, CO2 bottles, and Air/Water tight doors were working and properly maintained.
Wrecker's journal: Ragheads and Porn
During my first six month deployment, (Operation Desert Shield/Storm '91) after we had departed the Persian Gulf, we spent a considerable amount of time patrolling the Northern Red Sea near the Gulfs of Aqaba and Suez. During that time I had the opportunity to visit Hurghada, Egypt something like 7 times.
Wrecker's journal: Lies and meep in Ft. Lauderdale
In my last year serving on the USS Caron, we pulled into Ft. Lauderdale, FL for Broward Navy Days. I have no idea what the meep Broward Navy Days is, because to me it just seemed like another port visit. But we were there and a good time was had by all.
Wrecker's journal: What Have I learned?
In the three months since I have joined LS, I have learned the following (in no particular order):
I was going to post this a couple of weeks ago but then wolfer posted his very similar journal and I didn't want to take attention away from him.
Wrecker's journal: A toy from my past...
I had the toy in this video. This is by far the most meeped up toy ever conceived.
I got fired today.
From cute to meep-fulls.
