HellKat's journal: waste money on jewelry....
A couple of folks here seemed interested in my expeerience in the wholesale & retail jewelry trade. I'll write some of what I learned here and gladly answer any questions generated.
HellKat's journal: Bomb Day at School
My 9th grade son came home with a note from School on this past Thursday (6/16/05). The letter from the school was informing parents of a bomb threat found on a Boy's Room wall on Wednesday 6/15 saying that there was a bomb planted/planned to go off on Friday 6/17. The letter from the school said that the State Police & Sherrif's department had searched the school with detection equiptment and dogs the night that the "threat" was found. They stated that on Friday, "Bomb Day" there would be no backpacks or purses allowed in school and the police/sherriffs dept K-9 crew would have a strong presence during the day. They did not cancel school though as they imagined it to be a Senior Prank or something.
HellKat's journal: Music Camp tales
I just got back from Strings International Music Festival. I work there to help pay my son's tuition. It is an elite camp in that it is facilitated by members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and attracts top strings musicians from all over the world. My son hopes to be a professional cellist. This camp is part of his training. You can't beat the classical musical program, I'll give them that. As the equivalent of a dorm floor manager, I had about 35 students between the ages of 12-19 to 'watch- as well as a couple of college students which had things like cars to drive off campus, and many special privileges. The guest conductors all stayed in my dorm also....you might think there were adequate adults so it would be an easy job.....
HellKat's journal: I love Air Hockey
So this past Saturday was a "girls night out". A well meaning friend of mine was trying to cheer me up. We went to a local watering hole that had a band. The band was okay, but the place had like......20 people in it. Nobody was being very social and nobody was dancing (which was something we had hoped to do).

HellKat's journal: And today Sucked too....
So this morning Azron and I go the local mental health clinic in town (25miles RT= 3.15 in gas). I had an appointment with the Psychiatrist aka legal drug pusher at 10:00AM, but I was 7 minutes late. The receptionist told me that I was late and would have to reschedule my appointment.
