While I am sick to death of hearing Israel talk out of both sides of it's mouth, I know there will be no peace there until the Palastinians decide to love there own children more than they hate Jews.

P.S. Heroes? Well, I'm sure Saddam/bin Laden/Amin/Pot are all someone's heroes, too. Hamas is a terrorist organization, and to refer to their leaders as heroes is insulting to the tens of thousands of innocent civilians who's murders they've sanctioned.

Clavis, I don't mean that they ARE heroes, but the Palestinians certainly seem to look up to them. The Israelis, with support and funding from America, should try to be the 'bigger man' here. Not that I'd ever expect those snide meeps to concede to 'the brown people,' as it were.

Do you know much about Palestinian kids? They grow up TRYING to be suicide bombers, or shahids, and apparently nothing would please them more than to die for their 'country.'

Yes, I know quite a bit about Palestinians and their children. Many of my business associates are Palestinian, and don't resent my Jewiness one bit. At least once a week I gather around the Sheesha with one or the other of them, share coffee and debate many thought-provoking subjects, this one included. Those children don't come by those ideas through genetics or osmosis, or by some innate instinct. They are taught to hate. The bottom line is we need to teach the Arabs not to hate, and teach the Jews to share their sandbox. Short of that, I propose fencing off Northern Africa, the Arabian Pennisula, and Southwest Asia, then drill in a couple hundred megatons and start over in a thousand years. Could be our only shot at the Utopian idea of peace on Earth.

P.S. No, Goat, I'm happy right here in the good ole' USA. I won't go so far as to say it's the greatest country on the planet, but it sux a WHOLE lot less than most that I've been to.

My misstatement and apology. I have nothing against Jews, or any other group, per se. I meant to say Israelis, and primarily their current leadership; however the 'share the sandbox' concept would be ideal. I just don't understand why they have to keep stirring up meep. I get the concept of ancient homeland in congunction with growing population, but putting up another Berlin Wall and sending out gunships every other day is not a peace process. I wish people would learn to share.

Hey! You guys seem to know what you're talking about! Set me straight here:

1) Are or are-not the jewish people native palistinians, (I don't mean the immigrant europeans, but do mean those dispersed and returning from the many disporae) and thus, have a legitimate claim to calling the region their 'homeland' and /or 'birthright'?

2) Are or are-not muslims welcome to live peacefully within the borders of Israel and has or has-not it been that way all the time?

3) Are or are-not the current 'Palestinians' merely muslim refugees (and/or their descendants) from the various Arab-Israelli conflicts?

4) Were or were-not those refugees Israelli muslims who were promised the riches of Israel if they aided the surrounding kindoms in their bid to conquer Israel, and who consequently commited treason to collect that promise?

5) Is or is-not Israel justified in excluding form their county those who, through force of violence, are determined to exterminate every jew from the planet?

6) Should or should-not the surrounding kingdoms who sought to conquer Isreal, and enlisted a portion of the Isrealli-muslim populace to do so, now, after Isreal soundly having handed them their meep, patriate their erstwhile allies and eliminate this 'palistinian refugee' business alltogether?

I may or may-not be properly informed about this meep. If I'm not, I'm afraid I may have pissed off a bunch of Belgian- Bhuddists last night.
