Wisconsin Lawmaker Introduces Law To Classify Single Parenthood As Child Abuse

Okay, I'm gonna play devil's advocate here.
I don't agree with making it an arrestable offence to be a single parent due to divorce or deny a person the ability to adopt if they have the time and resources to care for a child.
Also, I believe a meep couple is perfectly capable of raising a happy and healthy kid.(Which I'm guessing is what this guy drew up that bill to put a stop to)
But...
I think there may be some logic in affirming that someone who decides to have a child without having at least some kind of planning and has no means to support it is commiting, in fact; Child Abuse.
There needs to be some recognition of just how asinine it is to bring a child into the world when you can't provide for it.

If someone wants a child, and has the love, and wants to raise it, why meep with them?

The legality of having a kid is so intense in the U.S...meep! in the western world period... not having some idea of what to do and how to raise a kid is pretty much a moot point. There are all kinds of help organizations when things get tense.
child abuse is the result of emotional/mental instability. It's not eschewing the structure that some zealot claims is the social norm.
This meep is malarkey. There's all kinds of poor folks who raise kids to be productive individuals.
This is purely a bullmeep whitewash attempt to discourage meep parents.
Nobody's that stupid not to recognize it... well.. maybe Derangelists and Remeeplicants.

I have more than one person claim that single fatherhood for the first two years made him that way.

Maybe he was gonna be meep anyway.

But look on the bright side:
He's lucky enough to be born in a time where there are plenty of places where he'll be accepted.
Places where he can bake rainbow cakes, cry over shows on Lifetime, shop for just the right pantsuit for clubbin' and just generally be the best damned meep he can be.

All I know is that he found some body he has loved for twelve years, and has loved him back. I was at their wedding. My mind goes fuzzy past the teddy bear cuddles, OK! They live in meeping Texas, where it's a felony to be in love. I have all kinds of conflicts about my parenthood, but I'm not unhappy about my son being with the person he loves.
