It actually didn't occur to them that the term "religion" could refer to anything but Conservative Christian Right Wing Repugnimeep Straight White American Males. They obviously never bumped into Todd Snider and the First Church of Lazy meep Hippies.

i can't wait until either a muslim school actually gets vouchers or this meep goes to court... it's really a challenge of the entire voucher system

Private for profit religious schools should probably not be subsidized from public school funds.

Of course they shouldn't, but if they subsidize a Christian school they can't refuse a Muslim one the same benefits. the idiots didn't think that far ahead when they started the program, and now they don't want to play.

are you suggesting that louisiana thinks that anyone with a darker skin color than white is black (ie, african) and thus undeserving of the same educational funding as whites? because first, being muslim isn't a race, it's a religion, unlike africans who are a race and have no choice over what they are

This is pretty funny. I love it when the conservative christian wackos look even stupider than they already are. Here in Ohio we have a law that says you can earn time off your sentence in prison if you proclaim Jesus as your saviour. I'm surprised someone hasn't tried to see if they could get time off for accepting Mohammed or the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Maybe they have, but it never made the news for whatever reason. Then again maybe it is just easier to say "Praise be to JEE-ZUS ... can I go now?".
