War Tribunal Finds Bush, Cheney Guilty of War Crimes
Former US President George W Bush, his Vice-President meep Cheney and six other members of his administration have been found guilty of war crimes by a tribunal in Malaysia. The tribunal's award of reparations will be submitted to the I.C.C.'s War Crimes Commission and the U.N. Security Council. They also recommend that the victims find a judiciary entity that could enforce the verdict.

Amongst the many things I've become deeply cynical about over the years "Justice" is one of them. Working for the police for a few years shed any remaining doubts I might have had. What I hate is being reminded that there is no such thing. It makes me sad. I would have liked to believe in it. I have to take a deep breath and focus on the positive. ... AFAIK,_ I_ am not a war criminal, and I am all I can hope to influence. I'd like to think that the world is a better place because I am not a war criminal (in my own mind at least). I can't even hope for ultimate Justice, because I am pretty much an atheist.

Does anyone else see the Irony in that this happened in Malaysia? Not that I completely disagree with the conclusions, but yeah the US has issues, but if you look at international NGO's that rank freedom and human rights, we are much higher than most nations, and higher than any nations who engage in foreign affairs at such a visible level.... Malaysia on the other hand is a well-known hub for human trafficking. Say what you will about how we treat prisoners of war and suspected terrorists - even the innocently accused - we do a much better job of preventing the exploitation and sale of adolescent children as a business venture.
