Look, the way she's developing, it will only a matter of a less than a dozen years before she's behaving that way (bondage & tazing included) for cash. On the job training. And you thought your tax dollars weren't paying for a vocational curriculum.

On the other hand,she's getting a first rate political education,re : fascism and the tactics practiced therein.

This is the problem with southern public education, they spend the whole meeping day trying to discipline kids and turn elementary school into a gulag.

Speaking as a three-time single dad and as a de facto correctional officer;
I don't see that they had a choice.
They couldn't reason with the kid(I'd venture a guess that's because she either has never been disciplined or she's been subject to random abuse and doesn't understand when/why people are upset with her)
In the prison, much like with children, we have to occasionally discipline the inmates for bad behavior.
The key is to making them stop the harmful behavior is always to apply only enough verbal warning, sanctions, force(in that order) to achieve compliance along with praise and rewards for good behavior.
It's hard to watch a parent "hold their temper" and then suddenly lose it and beat the meep out of a kid without any real warning.
You know what would happen if a school official grabbed this kid and locked her in a room somewhere or worse yet, hit her to get her to quit throwing sh#t.
They couldn't stop her short of that and couldn't get holdof her mother.
They couldn't let her keep trashing the place.
What else could they do?

The root of this problem is in both the premise and the nature of our compulsory education system.
