The fact that everyone is talking about how a US-Iran war is imminent (as they've been saying for years) makes me think it won't happen. A real war (either bombing or a full scale invasion) doesn't really benefit either side. Why would Obama want to start a war during an election year that none of the people who elected him want? I think Obama is getting his administration to take a hawkish stance while actually doing nothing so he can characterize himself as a tough leader to independents and the anti-war president to Liberals.
I think Iran is playing a similar game. They sure as meep don't want to provoke a real war with the U.S. that would surely end their regime. At the same time they are acting tough to win over the anti-america/israel Iranians and show the domestic opposition (which nearly toppled them in 09) who's still in charge. The current covert "war" works a lot better for both sides. The U.S. get's to look tough while at the same time hampering Iran's nuclear ambitions and Iran get's to look like the poor victim of Yankee imperialism while at the same time appearing defiant of U.S. and Israeli meddling.

Israel's gonna be primary cause of the death of the US though .They're politically invincible, unlike the U.S....or as long as they have U.S.backing.
