Lemme tell you a story about a couple of teen age kids and a washing mashing up near Mariposa. I cleaned out the sediment trap for this woman, and her kids played around in the hills behinds her house (above a creek) every day. We pulled out around three & a half ounces of gold dust from the meep that the kids had in their Levis from playing. The next day, her neighbor, after hearing this story, went and bought five used washing machines and hooked up mason jars to where the sediment traps used to be, then ran extension cords out his back window so he could shovel creek gravel into the agitator bins while running them on "spin" cycle all night long.
