I think, yes. It would make sense. I highly doubt that anything he said on that tape isn't factual, but I certainly believe that she was probably doing her best to push his psycho-meepon and the tape, as we've heard it, has obviously had her half of the conversation replaced with calm, cute and innocent. That would explain his completely over the top reactions during the 'conversation' we've heard.

...and if it's not edited, he's truly millimeters away from completely losing his mind.
