''meeped, locked and ready to rock, doc.''

''Annual blitzkrieg rock 'n' roll tour across America.''

''The American Boy Scout lives.''

''When in doubt, I whip it out.''

''Like many real Americans across this great country...''

Nugent's standard 'go-to' catch phrases are sure getting worn the meep out. This man might actually be semi-interesting to listen to if he could manage to manufacture an original thought. This one-track, 'DEM BAD, REP GOOD, GUNS GUNS ROCK AND ROLL USA USA USA' drivel has eaten this idiots entire soul and all that's left is a blathering, zombified, angry, annoying, elderly big mouth with a gun.

One of many Law-and-Order Neocons.

They should have a concert with Neocon Nugent and Rage against the Machine and see which one cracks first.

'. . . a blathering, zombified, angry, annoying, elderly big mouth with a gun. '

Yeah well, there may be some validity to that point in a different discussion; but it's a fallacious argument here, considering that the 'blathering, zombified, angry, annoying, elderly big mouth with a gun' makes an important point.

''To keep' means it's mine - you can't have it. 'Bear arms' can only mean one thing: I've got some on me right here, right now. 'Shall not be infringed' also needs no interpretation, unless you just don't get it. Get it. And get it right.'

Seriously. It requires a long, specious, semantically obtuse, and intellectually dishonest train of reasoning to interperet 'the right of the people to keep and bear arms' as 'the states' right to form militias' or that the right applies only to the notion of people as some plural of persons, but not in any respect to the individual persons that comprise that people.

having read nugent and the supreme court opinion i am convinced he is beyond retarded.... nugent sees the right to self defense tied with to guns, and as much as i love guns i can honestly say that i could easily defend myself with a host of other weapons so it is not about self-defense....

also the supreme court is clearly the most conservative branch of the government, they should be his favorite

mofo: Ted loves Texas. He thinks he is an honest, pure blooded texan. He is from detroit. He's a meeping idiot.

I will stipulate to the validity of your conclusion for the purpose of pointing out to you that when the issue at hand is the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, some majority of congress, as well as most of the members that have been seated on the SCOTUS, going as far back as 1934, are unambiguously more idiotic than the 'meeping idiot' you discuss above.

mofo: He's the kind of guy that thinks its rational for people to own and carry automatic weapons around all the time.

You misrepresent his point. Mainly (and I think I am safe regarding this point of judgment) because when the issue at hand is the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, you are unambiguously more idiotic than the 'meeping idiot' you discuss above.

His point is that its irrational--and patently unconstitutional--for the U.S. government to prohibit in any manner, the people of the United States from owning and/OR carrying fully automatic weapons for any peaceable purpose; in fact, the powers granted to the U.S. by the people of the U.S. are primarily and specifically restricted for the purpose of and responsibility is to PROTECTING the rights (enumerated-including the 2nd, or otherwise) of the people of the U.S., and then further empowered to protect those same rights from the predations of state governments as well.

What is irksome, are the gun control laws written, supported, passed into law, and then validated by remorseless meeptards who believe that by restricting, obstructing, and/or prohibiting the ownership/possession of fully automatic weapons by infringing upon the rights of the peaceable and law abiding people of the U.S., they somehow manage to gain control of fully automatic weapons purposed by those who disregard objectively valid laws--or are (by virtue of their position in government or government connections/privileges) rendered immune from rights infringing regulation--for the subjugation of their disarmed fellows.

Ted Nugent's rationality is far, far, FAR more lucid than the rationality of those who support those gun control measures that motivate (unelected/unappointed) violent criminals to commit potentially violent crimes to obtain the tools that protect their morally invalid criminal interests; gun control measures that simultaneously obstruct the broad pool of victims from freely owning and/or possessing the tools (e.g. fully automatic weapons) that are best suited to protect their morally valid and rational interests.

mofo: Was life really that bad in the 70s?

If bell-bottom pants, with a turtleneck, suede vest, and matching white patent leather belt and shoes are any considerable evidence, then yes.

Ted Nugent has been warbling about 'der gon take ar guns!' for 30 years now and he still has his guns. Yeah, not only is his tired, old message a jumble of played-out bullmeep - but now it's coming from a geriatric loudmouth who doesn't want to admit he's a geriatric.

It is literally impossible for Americans to be disarmed without civil war. Ted Nugent is a paranoid half-wit who's been swimming in vats of right-wing koolade and shouting 'his important points' at the random masses for a few years too long. Yes, he's past his meeping expiration date and yes his point is meeping dumb.

wotak: Ted Nugent has been warbling about 'der gon take ar guns!' for 30 years now and he still has his guns.

Submitted as if the effort to confiscate guns, in direct violation of the 2nd Amendment, has never been attempted, is not being attempted, and is not currently one of the primary objectives of most government officials--supported by significantly powerful lobbies--for the purpose of rendering the mainstream, law abiding, and effectively peaceful citizens of the U.S. from mounting any considerable resistance to the application of coercive force used by those who intend to subjugate the decent folks of the U.S. to their own criminal, and morally bankrupt purposes.

The test of this is that in NO CIRmeepSTANCES are the arguments supporting the necessity of their gun control schemes, so patently valid that they are willing to be the FIRST to disarm--and then attempt to confiscate privately held firearms armed with nothing but this patently and undeniably valid argument that it is in the rational self interest of the gun owner to give their guns up.

Although I am not counting on Ted Nugent to protect my right to keep and bear the very best tools for defending my life, the lives of my family, and our intrinsic rights and inherent liberty, I also do not expect he has any designs on threatening said lives, rights and liberties.

wotak: Yeah, not only is his tired, old message a jumble of played-out bullmeep - but now it's coming from a geriatric loudmouth who doesn't want to admit he's a geriatric.

Again, your ad-hominem argument supports only the assertion that you are a retard.

wotak: It is literally impossible for Americans to be disarmed without civil war.

Not relevant. The point is not that privately held firearms will disappear, but rather that the peaceful possession of firearms for morally legitimate purposes will be rendered illegal--in direct violation of the 2nd Amendment--for the purposes of advancing the morally illegitimate agendas of those who oppose the peaceful possession of firearms for morally legitimate purposes.

wotak: Ted Nugent is a paranoid half-wit who's been swimming in vats of right-wing koolade and shouting 'his important points' at the random masses for a few years too long.

Again, your ad-hominem argument supports only the assertion that you are a retard.

wotak: Yes, he's past his meeping expiration date and yes his point is meeping dumb.

Again, your ad-hominem argument supports only the assertion that you are a retard. However, it now has some value as evidence that despite how dumb Ted Nugent's point may be, your point manages to be so much dumber by many, many orders of magnitude.

wotak: I would expect the Tea Party type to flock to this opinion and disregard the fact that he's a meeping chickenhawk hypocrite who did drugs and cowered in his own meep to avoid being sent to the same war that all of my uncles and father served in. I mean, a movement as proud and patriotic as the Tea Party needs a spokesman a free and brave as Ted Nugent.

Really? Tell you what; I sympathize with the burdens that Viet-Nam Veterans carry, and I am ashamed on behalf of those who illegitimately vented their bile on those men who served in the interest of protecting our rights (2nd Amendment included) and liberties, and hoped to defend those values premised on the notion that such rights and liberties are intrinsic to the condition of being human, rather than citizenship or class membership--what you need to get into your head is that those men were victimized by meepbags cut from the very same cloth as gun-control advocates, who leveraged the nobility in the souls of soldiers to turn them into tools for profiting government officials in positions capable of granting favors and dispensation to war industries--you know, the same way your horror at the notion of some crackhead with an AK-47 is leveraged into making you into a tool for disarming yourself, and all the decent folks around you while leaving every violent retard with a sense of entitlement to what they do not validly deserve free to posses whatever piece of hardware suits their bullmeep purposes.

So, you'll have to excuse me if I don't often find terribly much fault in anybody who can arguably assert that they saw the link between serving in that war and being a tool of despicable interests, and/or the methods they for excluding themselves from participating in that amoral clustermeep.

It doesn't HAVE to be cowardice; it could be moral integrity.

And Walter, since everything is NOT about 'Nam, and the Whackmaster's military service record is ENTIRELY irrelevant to the points he makes regarding gun control, I feel obligated to point out once again, that you are a retard for trying to make it so.

Yes. I agree. I'm not sure if i agree for the same reasons that motivated you to post, but I'm still agreeing. Particularly in those instances where what's coming out of their 'hero's' pie-holes has misfortune of being a valid point coming out of the pie-hole of an irritating meep-meep.

The inevitable result is that retards who cannot parse the difference between a valid ad-hominem attack, and an invalid ad-hominem argument get all fixated on relative position and rank regarding their preferred cult of personality; leaving them with the sanctimonious confidence that having validly determined that some personality is a retard, that it is sufficient basis to assert that a point being made by that personality is necessarily retarded.
