^ Who knows? I'm all for this. I'd like all labor to be child labor. The poorer and younger, the better.

SIlver ingots are prettier and will placate them better. They also have the added benefit of lesser value, so we can buy more yachts and endangered dolphins to put in swimming pools on said yachts.

I was loading brush into a trailer for a tree trimmer all summer in 100+ degree weather at age 13 for $1.15 an hour, and that's real labor. Snivelers. If you are lucky enough to work at all, count your blessings, or shut up and starve.

^^ you also had your rich parents pay for college when your one summer of having a 'real' job was over. Now you get to tell stories how hard you worked the rest of your life while driving your hybrid car.
These kids are working FULL TIME and most likely are put in barrack-like quarters. All they have to look forward to is dying from being poisoned at work.

oddly enough, your ideas of protection relate to 'tyranny' only when that tyrannical force is the government

maybe if you pretended that instead of a slow death from known neurotoxins, they were accidentally shot by a police officer during an arrest.
maybe then you will understand what it is like...to be human

Less oddly, you make no sense.
Even less oddly, you make up nonsense out of absolute nothingness.
Maybe if you pretended at rational thought, a valid accusation, characterized by valid logic and valid evidence, might be forthcoming from you.
Probably not.

SNMD: ''They also have the added benefit of lesser value, so we can buy more yachts and endangered dolphins to put in swimming pools on said yachts.''
I'm pre-ordering a pair of tiger sharks for my yacht pool. The builders have agreed to deliver two endangered dolphins per month for feed. I got them to throw in an occasional aborted blue whale fetus by agreeing to pay them with 55 gallon drums of Chinese child laborer tears.
With deals like this, you might want to rethink the dolphin thing. The exchange rate is untouchable.

Consistent with his typical form, nocal must retreat to a groundless presumtion in vain hope of gaining traction--with it's predictable, frankly inevitable, failure forthcoming . . .
I suspect your real problem with my notion of what tyranny is about, is that I am clear about the true and consistent nature of tyranny; particularly that nature which self-righteous authoritarians--like yourself--always hope to obscure with your sanctimonious appeals to 'the common good;' that the beneficence of a tyranny, and/or the sincerity of the goodness of intentions in subjugating one's fellows, has ZERO mitigating effect on the repugnance to humanity that tyranny is, or the despicable nature of those who would exercise it.
So knock yourself out nocal . . . enlighten us all, and particularly me, on your very special perception of my problem with contract law and your ever more special understanding of tyranny that you insist I lack.

i'm not really being that obtuse...15 year olds? contract law? it's all together in one easy to digest sentence.
special understanding of tyranny that you insist I lack.
the reason that any labor laws exist at all is because of the widespread abuse of employees by employers.
libertarians just prefer that their tyranny be called 'capitalism'

Really? You still have to explain this problem that you see, that I must have, with contact law.
Well, that is true, but you conveniently leave out the primary, and necessary, role that those same law makers had in creating the widespread abuse employees by employers. Convenient, but not at all surprising. It is the typical strategy of authoritarians to create the problem that their authoritarianism is the solution for--then they blame their victims.
Right. Of course, you have no basis for this assertion. On the other hand, I suspect that this baseless attack is inspired by the simple fact that a society that rejects tyranny, must embrace capitalism . . . and that precise arrangement directly challenges your sense of greater entitlement to the lives and property of others. This is just your attempt at establishing your bullmeep newspeak.

Yes. Transparently valid; transparently effective.
Folks, take note: despite the obvious opportunity offered to validate his fatuous assertions, little meeptard here just takes another fail.
Nor was he able to point out the nature of any shortcoming in my understanding of contract law, tyranny, libertarianism, or capitalism . . . despite the invitations offered.
The fact is, nocal just can't manage this because he's patently wrong, but lacks the intellectual honesty to admit so . . . even to himself. But being wrong doesn't stop emo-meeps like nocal from attempting to hijack your life; and their lack intellectual integrity is the what their self-righteous moral rationalizations for despicable actions are made of.
