I'm ok with the Swiss pretending to be Celtic, I mean, everybody wishes they had a few drops of our superior Celtic blood in them... and I give them props for bringing bagpipes to the mix, BUT.

I'm with godevillivedog on the whole unintelligible screaming thing. It's a sad, outdated shtick. meeping man-up and let the music and lyrics work their magic without hamming the material up with the heavy metal monster shtick. That gag is an over done cartoon of itself already and as soon as vocals like this kick in, all respect for the material is lost by any listener with half a brain and even an ounce of musical taste.

And even as suck as this ends up being, it's still better than this garbage.

Ok, great music and pretty good lyrics. But I still don't understand cookie monster. I can't believe you got those lyrics from listening to the vid. It just sounds like unmelodic gibberish to me.
But that's the same thing my parents said about my music when I was blasting Steppenwolf at 10000 watts when I was a kid. That's a horrible thought, but there's no getting around it.

dethclock is better.

I liked the concept with the hurdy gurdy, bagpipes and flute mixing notes with metal bass, guitar and drums.

I just can't warm up to that vocal style.

meep yes. I'm not one to sing like this. My voice is more like Cobain, but the angelic voice of Plant was the perfect balancing pint for Zeppelin. It wouldn't have been such an amazing band without the Plant/Page dynamic.
