Let the baby roast rest for an hour, then have your guests help pull the meat. Everyone will have fond memories of the event to cherish FOREVER!

Just remember to give yourself plenty of time for cooking (a field-dressed baby can weigh upwards of 30 lbs and take a FULL DAY to cook!)

Do you keep them penned up like veal and infuse them with formula or mother's milk? I hear formula fed babies have a medicinal taste. I don't want that for the party.... I would be a terrible host.

No need to leave the skin on. A toddler's got a lot of good marbling.

excellent eye-opening article into what fish you're eating, where they came from and why you probably shouldn't be eating it. There are many fish/seafood that are sustainably farmed/caught.. Here's a link to the site(from the article) that can guide your choices: Seafood Watch

Farmed fish taste like paste, and have all kinda fishy diseases from being too close and eating meep. Tilapia are the worst, they're raised in raw sewage to eat the corn chunks and such. I wouldn't put a farmed fish on my plate for anything.

I agree. I don't like farmed fish either. Wild trout, salmon, perch, walleye (pickerel for you Canadans) and catfish are all I eat and usually only if I caught them myself. Although, there are tournaments around here that are sponsored by local eateries and the fish fry's are nice to belly up to when they happen.
Not everyone in this country (or the world for that matter) has such ease of access to Michigan's awesome natural resources though, so I can understand the need for a farmed fish market for fresh freshwater fish. I'm just glad I don't have to buy from it.
As for ocean fish, this country has enough coastline to never have to worry about saltwater fish supplies. If they were properly managed (and they are not) they would supply this country with a 100% renewable supply.
The only 'imported' seafood I ever eat is Alaskan King Crab and just typing that into this keyboard makes me hungry for it. I know they're wild-caught though. I watch it in the Discovery channel. :)
By and large, I only eat local, wild-caught fish and nothing is fresher, healthier and better tasting than that.

I've processed hundreds of tons of farmed Atlantic Salmon and probably 25% of it is so grossly deformed as to be immediately obvious. There is a lot to be said for natural selection.
