Coleman Beats Al Franken By Less Than .5 Percent, Triggering Automatic Recount

Minnesota is sure a meeped up state... they re-elected that raving mad meep Bachmann, voted for Obama, and then nearly split on Franken. I know the district that Bachmann represents are right wingers, but it is just hard to believe that she is still in office. She must bring home the bacon and/or her constituents agree with her belief that Congress is run by left-wing, Commie meeps who want Red China to overthrow our gov.

Many of you ladies are wondering what you can wear, or not wear, to please me, Al Franken.

Title here is not really accurate. From what I've read recounts are required with this margin of a win. So its not like 'coleman wins, oh al you such a spoiler' its like 'coleman wins by one half of one percent, recount needed to know who really won'

The landmine there is really in the interpretation. I'm of the same understanding re: recount triggers, but Franken does actually want the recount to happen, right?

Well, I guess can think of a way to avoid that pitfall.

As a Minnesotan, Franken and Coleman both suck. Everything you've heard that's bad about Franken is true. My sister and I saw him road raging near the University of Minnesota campus about a month ago, then he went around campus like a schmuck for photo ops. Coleman is just a typical republican money grubber.

I dislike both, but I'm massively glad Franken didn't get it (yet).

Big: MN is incredibly varied. The city is very blue, every tier of suburbs are red, and the rural areas are blue again. So you end up with moderates filling almost all of the gaps. That's why we got Jesse Ventura (Independent) elected. The nice thing about this dynamic is that the candidate that everyone is confident in wins due to the moderate swing.

I agree much more with franken's positions, therefore I support him over some meep conservative with pending legal action.

Recount is triggered automatically, which Franken supports and in typical Republican NewSpeak is trying to make the recount out to be a 'waste' of taxpayer's money.

As for Minnesota, I like you guys. Very much like Wisconsin, nice and blue in the cities and blood red in the rest of the state. I'm just meeping blown away by those who voted for Bachmann... she is a meeping looney, on par with Cynthia McKinney crazy. Once a Dem, now a Green. I know Reps are the retarded step-children of Senators, and most are respectable, but some kooks do slip through.

As a Minnesotan, Franken is pretty awesome.
I reflect on him well as one of the few people who made the Bush supporters tolerable to some degree.

My wife and her fambly are members of an ELCA church, and I must admit it is a joyful and happy church. They even got sekret^{not so much a sekret} meepgots and hippies as members. I enjoy every funeral I have to go to. ELCA is a good thing.

Yeah, parents were married at an ELCA.

As for the church, the doctrine is very fluffy. I married the daughter of a Presbyterian (PCA) pastor; much much different.
