First of all he didn't just say 'God meep America' he said it in the context that the Bible says to kill other humans would meep you to meep, therefore maybe it's not God Bless America, it's God meep America. He was making a point about our Government killing out of greed. He said lots of things that were ridiculous, but why shouldn't he be allowed to question the Government. It is a free country and we do it here all the time.

Do I think he is silly? Well yes, VERY silly. But why aren't we all up in arms against White Evangelical leaders such as Fawell and Pat Robertson. They have both said the same thing about America on numerous occations. God has damed America. 911, huricanes in Florida, Katreena were all part of God's Wrath against evil sin filled America accourding to them. These two idiots are religous advisers to the President. They go to the white house for prayer meetings and to council GW. Crazy zealot white folks saying the same ting as crazy zealot black folks.

And really, what does any of this have to do with the problems we need to address in this country. We have got a war going on and the economy is the worst I have seen it in my 43 years.

Obama said it right. Are we going to let this election be the same as the last few, one frivolous distraction after another without any real debate on the issues? Or we going to move forward-TOGHETHER- as a Nation and address our very REAL problems.

Lever: The only thing Obama really needs to distance himself from, IMHO, is where his pastor said (I think) that the US Government invented AIDS to kill black people. did you read the article, or do you just insist that there needs to be video or something? because while obama has a pastor that has some radical beliefs, hillary belongs to an organization that includes:

Sam Brownback, Ed Meese, John Ashcroft, James Inhofe and Rick Santorum.

unless you live under a rock, you know that every one of those people is basically insane and loudly legislates their bizarre christianity. santorum compared meep meep to bestiality and child molestation, ashcroft forced his staff to sing religious songs that he wrote, etc.

obama has not, in any way that i've seen, presented evidence that he will desire to legislate some kind of twisted morality. in fact, he vocalized his support for meep marriage, which i think sets him clearly apart from a wacky preacher.

hillary, on the other hand, is widely regarded as following whatever political trend will garner her enough votes; i think that if you actually examine her record, it's actually that she has a weird little religious obsession that drives some of what she does. that gives her the appearance of being a 'moderate liberal' (whatever that means), when in reality she is a staunchly religious democrat.
