Amnestized Citizen's Bill of Rights:

-No welfare for you or your next generation. Second generation to be born natively qualifies for government assistance like any regular citizen.

-Per-AC child cap. Second pregnancy? Deportation. You can abort it without penalty but you get no aid of any kind and unpaid sick leave from work.

-Mandatory naturalization classes, including ESL and basic life skill meep (job application coaching, basic literacy/numeracy, home economics, financial-management courses).

-Mandatory military service immediately upon entry for able fit persons would be an idea. Not sure how much of our armed forces we want comprised of non-citizenry though.

Simultaneously, a brain-drain program whereby outstanding candidates from the immigrant country are granted full citizenship status, paid transportation to America, naturalization/lifeskill coaching, and job placement assistance, providing eventual legitimate cultural representation and drop-in role models.

Put that baby to bed, booya.

'Congress will approve an immigration bill that will grant citizenship rights to most of the 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens in the U.S. after Democrats take control next month, predict both sides on Capitol Hill. While Republicans have been largely splintered on the issue of immigration reform, Democrats have been fairly unified behind the principle that the illegals currently in the country should get citizenship rights without having to first leave the country.'
Why is it that hese criminals should get free educations, free healthcare, and free retirements?

So good to know that the Dems will use their majority power to benefit US citizens.

Democrat Senator Patrick J. Leahy: 'Years of dawdling have worsened our border security and made it harder to fix this broken system. We should not let partisan politics and intolerance continue to delay and derail effective reform.'
I suupose 'effective reform' does not have to be effective for the people who have to pay for it--only those who benefit from it.
Democrat Senator Patrick J. Leahy: 'This past May, the Senate Judiciary Committee reported and then the Senate passed bipartisan versions of comprehensive immigration reform to bring people out of the shadows while strengthening our borders. I look forward to building on that work next year and making progress on a bipartisan effort that improves security, supports our economy and respects the dignity of all people'

Instead of creating this amnesty to cover the droves if illegal immigrants that will flock to your proposed minimum wage increase, why not do the smart thing and lower the minimum wage to equal (or below, if Mexico has one) the Mexican minimum wage and watch the Mexicans repatriate themselves.

'House Republicans and many outside Congress derided that bill as 'amnesty' for allowing illegals to remain in the U.S. and eventually become citizens. Democrats say it's not amnesty because aliens must pay a fine and wait years before becoming citizens.'

meep! Republicans agree with me, and the Dems are meeping delusional.

Republican Representative Jack Kingston: 'The Senate bill is pure amnesty. Dress it up any way you want, it's still amnesty. It lets people pay their way out of sneaking into the country illegally.'

Oh, the meeping irony.

I don't understand your beef with this bill loki. You're pretending like these people are not taking advantage of our infrastructure paid for by our dollars. If they are all legal citizens then they are paying taxes and stuff. Ideologically it may creep you out, but pragmatically it makes sense. I guess you're probably not a shameless ideologue, huh guy?

My beef with this bill is that it undercuts a bunch of laws we took the time to write up and enforce.

Perhaps I'm biased -- my dad's dad worked Border Patrol in Texas for a bunch of years -- but how is this not rewarding criminal behavior? Criminal behavior which flourishes just fine before governmental pardon? Which arguably increases my taxes and offers no benefit in return?

I fear you will, like office email bad-habit types, respond only to the last point, so let me get this out right upfront: it is rare that I eat an orange.

dinoza: 'I don't understand...'

This goes withuot saying...

dinoza: '...your beef with this bill loki.'

...so, no surprises here.

dinoza: 'You're pretending like these people are not taking advantage of our infrastructure paid for by our dollars.'

So this is what I'm doing? I'm '...pretending like these people are not taking advantage of our infrastructure paid for by our dollars'? Yes?

Are you pretending that these people are taking advantage of our infrastructure paid for by our dollars?

OR

Are you pretending that these people are taking advantage of our infrastructure paid for by their dollars?

OR

Are you pretending that these people are taking advantage of their infrastructure paid for by our dollars?

OR

Are you pretending that these people are taking advantage of their infrastructure paid for by their dollars?

I really don't know what you're pretending to understand, but I'll clue you in on this: I am fully aware that they are taking advantage of our infrastructure that we paid for with our dollars--and I assert that they have no rightful entitlement to do so, and should not be granted such entitlement outside of already established procedures. As of this moment, they are criminals, guilty of theft, and should be treated accordingly.

dinoza: 'If they are all legal citizens then they are paying taxes and stuff.'

If they are twinkies, they'll have a sweet, creamy, filling.

dinoza: 'Ideologically it may creep you out, but pragmatically it makes sense'

What? Mexican twinkies?

dinoza: 'I guess you're probably not a shameless ideologue, huh guy?'

I wish you knew what you were talking about.

The new Governor Elect here in Massachusetts has already promised in-state tuition for all state colleges and universities to illegals.

This means that a legal citizen from Rhode Island will pay about four times as much in tuition to attend UMass than an illegal. It also means that existing classes will have to be dumbed down to accomodate non-english speaking and/or poor english speaking students. And being the liberal state that we are, I'm sure that quotas will be set on the number of illegals that will be required to be admitted in each class.

Oh yeah, and illegals are soon to receive drivers licenses in Massachusetts.

I'm thrilled about this. Really I am. :/

The real criminals are the free market forces that seek out the cheapest labor possible and attract the migrant workers.

Increase the min. Wage and they will have to hire 'mericans or go out of business because they can't ethically/legally opperate.

Loko, how 'bout them apples?

Raising the minimum wage a couple bucks doesn't automatically mean that the price of everything is going to go up two bucks, nor mean that a lot of people will lose jobs. Companies like Wal-Mart make more than enough money to pay decent wages, but they just don't. (Oddly, Sam's Club, owned by Wal-Mart, starts out at 10/hr, for roughly the same work)

All I am saying is that these 'evil bad people' are here not to rape our horses and ride off on our women--they are here to work at the meep jobs we don't want to do and we don't pay well enough for us to do--but for some reason or another can't offshore them.

Once you start talking about Labor conditions and market forces you really can't talk bigotry or isolationism for very long. The truth is that we ask for illegal black-market labor and we all pay for it by fewer taxes and 'subsidized' goods that are cheaper to produce.

Although very few people care to remember, we, the current plurality in America were all not born here. We sneaked into this country, we poisoned, cheated, lied and stole the land repeatedly from the 'savages' who were either too friendly or dumb enough to trust us.

There is no position of moral authority that an AMERICAN can speak from if they happen to recall the murderous and hypocritical acts of agression and naked greed performed by their forebears in pursuit of dominion. To protect this land with lofty ideals and memories is a typical thing for an ignorant nation.

By the way most of the towns with 'mesican' names were from Spanish territory, much of it bought or stolen after wars of agression [Slavery, 1812, etc]. And the inhabitants of which had little say in these conflicts. Point is: Politics does not equal human history and when you talk like politics provides moral authority you are severely deluded.

You know, not more than two years ago, I was raising a fuss about the illegals, and how you could watch them drive off from the welfare office in their brand new vehicles, while the poor whites of Arizona got stuck footing the bill with working two to three jobs just to get by. Yet no-one raised a fuss, and I actually got called a racist. Now that your taxes are being used to give criminals (why else call them ILLEGAL) the citizenship that we work, fight, and bleed for while they do jobs that my teenage kids want to have, but can't cause they're not the right skin color to join the food workers union, You all get in the huff. Just remember, when being a natural born, or legally naturalized citizen who came here the LEGAL way, isn't worth a Tortilla's meep, that I warned you. meepers.

You people are high, These Mexicans cross the border cause they have no jobs over there...they get money go back over give it to there families and come back and do it again. They will be getting paid under the table when they become citizens and taking the cash to their families in Mexico. Everyone pulls this BULLmeep about how no Americans want the jobs they do...BS, They farmers dont want to pay atleast the minimum wage for the work done. they also dont wont the hours these guys do to be domeepented. meeping farming aint much worse then many other jobs for kids getting out of school. That a bullmeep farmer excuse and im tired of hearing it.

Look at the numbers here....20,000,000 There is over 100,000 illegal Mexicans pouring into this country everyday and if you dont think there will be repricusions for this, then you just wait and see.

now hold on boy, you tellin' me these no good mesicans comming from over the border and rasslin' our cattle? Let's lynch em!

There is much truth in the fact that the economic offers in Mexico suck! It sucks so bad that they migrate from within their country to the border towns and work at Yanqui sweat shops.

But that's ok, that's on their land on their dollar---oh wait. They work for american companies!!

Where is the argument? Labor flows to money--and the employers, not the employees are the one's paying out. Does Dell, Apple or McDonnald Douglas, or any Fortune 100 company hire illegals as their main workforce?

YEP! but in other countries. So when that opperation scales down to a local level we all oughtta get up in arms because they are doing it on our land not overseas.

Get real you stupid meeps, there is money involved not some misguided hillbilly incestual love that should bother you. Our borders are not safe because it is not profitable. And NAFTA and GAAT and the new North American super-state' are ensuring that the fluidity of labor resources continues. This soverignty bullmeep is just pablum to work up the hillbillies while they [big money] ships all the jobs off anyhow.

Do you think a Muslim terrorist could pass off as a Mexican immigrant? I was just wondering this, I dont know why....

HAh! hit a nerve. You lose!

Just understand one thing and I won't call you a hillbilly again, you yokel; it is this:

Learn to distinguish Moral/Ethical concerns from Monitary/Policy/Politics. That's it really. Learn that no matter what your spiritual or other guidance may be, when it comes to LAW and MONEY there are vested interests at play that don't give a rat's meep about your belief system or fantasy worlds, but they won't hesistate to use them to further their monetary and/or political gains.

The family unit, the racial purity, the hippy love-fest are all instruments used to further a given economic agenda in the guise of a social/spiritual cause.

The real law breakers are the employers. Think War on Drugs Part VI--the dealer or the user, who do you want to lock up? Who do you rehabilitate?

And in any case always ask yourself 'Who Benefits?' that's the money trail and usually leads to the root of the evil at play.

Hallelujah!

IMBOLCPunxsutawneyPhil: 'The real criminals are the free market forces that seek out the cheapest labor possible and attract the migrant workers.'

How is '...seek[ing] out the cheapest labor possible...' criminal? You're just making meep up.

IMBOLCPunxsutawneyPhil: 'Increase the min. Wage and they will have to hire 'mericans or go out of business because they can't ethically/legally opperate. Loko, how 'bout them apples?'
They aren't hiring ''mericans' now at the current minimum wage--how will raising it force them to hire more ethically/legally?

The fact is, making low wages illegal CREATES the blackmarket for exploitative labor. The higher the minimum wage is, the greater that margin within which exploitive labor practices can be engaged in.

Mofo: 'Raising the minimum wage a couple bucks doesn't automatically mean that the price of everything is going to go up two bucks, nor mean that a lot of people will lose jobs.'

Here, on Earth, it does.

Mofo: 'Companies like Wal-Mart make more than enough money to pay decent wages, but they just don't.'

The rate at which wages are paid, just like the rate at which ANYTHING should be paid, should be paid based on what the work is worth, NOT HOW MUCH MONEY IS BEING MADE BY THE EMPLOYER--YOU OVER-ENTITLED FUKTARD.

:D

IMBOLCPunxsutawneyPhil: 'All I am saying is that these 'evil bad people' are here not to rape our horses and ride off on our women--they are here to work at the meep jobs we don't want to do and we don't pay well enough for us to do--but for some reason or another can't offshore them.'
All I'm saying is they're stealing. Get them the fuk out.
IMBOLCPunxsutawneyPhil: 'Once you start talking about Labor conditions and market forces you really can't talk bigotry or isolationism for very long. Once you start talking about Labor conditions and market forces you really can't talk bigotry or isolationism for very long. The truth is that we ask for illegal black-market labor and we all pay for it by fewer taxes and 'subsidized' goods that are cheaper to produce.'

Read the Legislative record for Davis-Bacon Act, and then talk to me.

And for the record, I'm not asking for black-market labor--you are, and I'm not asking for subsidized goods--you are, and getting rid of those things will make 'fewer taxes' achievable.

IMBOLCPunxsutawneyPhil: 'Although very few people care to remember, we, the current plurality in America were all not born here. We sneaked into this country, we poisoned, cheated, lied and stole the land repeatedly from the 'savages' who were either too friendly or dumb enough to trust us.'

Speak for yourself. Neither myself, or anyone I know did any of these things to get into this country.

IMBOLCPunxsutawneyPhil: 'There is no position of moral authority that an AMERICAN can speak from if they happen to recall the murderous and hypocritical acts of agression and naked greed performed by their forebears in pursuit of dominion. To protect this land with lofty ideals and memories is a typical thing for an ignorant nation.'

You're completely full of meep. There certasinly is a position of moral authority an american can speak from; the criminal acts of one's grandparents are not crimes one is guilty of; and ideal, lofty or not, are not neccarly borne of ignorance.

IMBOLCPunxsutawneyPhil: 'Point is: Politics does not equal human history and when you talk like politics provides moral authority you are severely deluded.'

You're deluded if you think the nature of morality has no political implications, and that political action does not derive from a moral authority.

IMBOLCPunxsutawneyPhil: 'Where is the argument? Labor flows to money--and the employers, not the employees are the one's paying out. Does Dell, Apple or McDonnald Douglas, or any Fortune 100 company hire illegals as their main workforce?'

No. Now you're trying to make my argument aren't you?

IMBOLCPunxsutawneyPhil: 'YEP! but in other countries.'

...except Mexicans aren't illegal aliens in Mexico--for instance. You can't trick me by getting dumber.

meepbox to wolfer: 'You seem inclined to blame the degredation of the family unit and your own shortcomings as a parent and the subsequent and inevitable demise of the nation on illegal immigration. Blame coca-cola, blame wal-mart, blame capital-one and washington mutual. They are the ones making us pay the price.'

Blame Wal-Mart--what a joke. Companies are not to blame--people are. The prescise people are those with the over developed sense of entitlement that causes them to assert that force is an appropriate means of satisfying their sense over-entitlement.

IMBOLCPunxsutawneyPhil: 'Learn to distinguish Moral/Ethical concerns from Monitary/Policy/Politics. That's it really. Learn that no matter what your spiritual or other guidance may be, when it comes to LAW and MONEY there are vested interests at play that don't give a rat's meep about your belief system or fantasy worlds, but they won't hesistate to use them to further their monetary and/or political gains.'

Moral/Ethical concerns are what make Monitary/Policy/Politics concerns right or wrong, and they cannot be separated. Why don't you learn THAT?

IMBOLCPunxsutawneyPhil: 'The real law breakers are the employers. Think War on Drugs Part VI--the dealer or the user, who do you want to lock up? Who do you rehabilitate? '

Yep. You're completely full of meep. Think of the War on Drugs--made real, and made real ugly by and for the government. The same government you go running to to save you from the big, bad, rich man.

wolfer:

Remember, there is a solution to the plight of the poor mexican.

exactly what taxes would these new americans be paying? someone feeding their family with a 'Mc Donalds job' won't earn enough to pay income taxes. sales taxes? they're already paying those. with earned income tax credits you can actually get more than you paid in. end the welfare state and we'll talk.

also, name calling is the lowest form of debate and goes to show that argument is weak...
