There are two forces working here. The need for efficiency and maximum output, if those are your values and those values are certainly reflected in our current capitalist, growth at all costs culture. And, the human factor..., we are not machines and there are other contextual considerations for a human to complete necessary tasks. Currently the human factor runs smack into the capitalist ideal. Perhaps the paradigm is changeing as we grudgingly expand our capitalist values. Billable hours, carbon footprints these are examples of the new factors into cost. However, are you familiar with the Third Wave by Alvin Toeffler. He posited the Information Age back in 1980 when only meepless nerds were building their own Radio Shack home computers in their parents' basements. Just as the Industrial Revolution swept over the the Agricultural Age with prejudice, so to the Information Age sweeps away the behemoth of the Industrial Age. I bring this all up because who hasn't worked in an office where the manager/supervisor shakes his head, but seriously, reminds you not to do this all the time or management will come down on him. Management is a vestige of the regularization if the Industrial Age, just as public education and mass production are. All this is changeing. When does 'efficiency' become devalued in the fight to retain the old system?

Baesparza, directly embedded pictures wider than around 400 pixels in the link comments screws the page up for everyone else, so if your picture is wider than that, upload it to imageshack and use the generated thumbnail code to make a nice little clickable thumbnail here, like so...

Like Freud, Vascular? I have used Photobucket, mainly, because I found Imageshack unsatifactory for me for various reasons. Maybe I'll check it out, but I'm not feeling extremely charitable at the moment. I'll just resize them myself, perhaps. Might I suggest an edit function for these editless sections in the absence of automatic resizing or positioningof these photos by the website itself? I suppose I grew lazy by sucking from the corporate teet of of other overacheiving webforums. I apologize.

I did resize the picture to better respect the parameters of your web community. I have never been confronted with the issue of resizing like this before. Look, this isn't RAINBOWZ.COM. You seem meep-bent-for-leather to decorate the place with flowers and doillies and pretty ponies and Sparklemotion and whatnot, but I'm doubtful that's going to happen. You're entering a well-established community that is unlikely going to change to suit your needs. That leaves you with a couple of options:

1. Join in, hurt some feeling, and have a good time.
2. Keep trying to swim upstream and getting your emeep kicked in.
3. Lurk back underneath whatever rock (hudson?) you you came from.

I'm seriously hoping you pick option #1. Too many people walk in here, get blindsided, and run back to mom's soft comforting bosom. Maybe you've got the stones to stick around. We'll see.

Well, guess what I did read the FAQ and found that it didn't answer all my questions. I didn't think that I was gonna get the warm fuzzy touch, that's not why I am here. But honestly, if you all are so clannish here, why do you make it so easy to join yet leave the newbie with a dearth of helpful information. And, if this is a community then I have every right to ask for features that would be helpful to me. I did figure out how to resize my photo because Vas mentioned the parameters, not at all because you were helpful in any way. I'm gonna be ridiculed for not mind-reading your group think? If you are truly sated by the knowledge that you and your ilk are teflon and the rest of us are the unwashed then have the meep to say so.
