I really liked the way the skin popped off of his head. Just like pulling off yer socks. Nice sound effects, too.
I love cartoons...Boondocks, AquaTeen, Family Guy, Robot Chicken...these guys needed to do something, anyway. South Park was starting to get kinda 'flat', like diet soda. Chef as a masked child molesting spatula wielding Vader-FunkZombie is a nice twist, better than Mr. Stick and Cartman's Mr. Kitty put together. It totally reverses his entire persona fro the whole show previous to this point. Well painted, and without malice.

So ya'll think that they could use all the samples of Isaac Hayes' voice to digitally synthesize Chef's dialogue in future episodes? I think it's more a question for the lawyers than one of technology.

Chef Killed Off In South Park
March 24 2006
Chef from South Park is dead.
The voice of Chef only last week announced he was leaving the show for religious reasons, but that was enough time for South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone to write, produce and edit the first show of the 9th season.
With no access to Hayes, the producers used old voice-overs to keep the Chef character alive just long enough to have him written out by being burned, impaled and then dismembered.
Hayes claimed he was leaving because he was uncomfortable with how South Park portrayed his religion of choice, Scientology. However, Trey and Stone commented that he didn't seem to have a problem when Catholicism and the Jewish faith were sent up.
At his funeral service, Kyle 'A lot of us don't agree with the choices Chef has made in the past few days. Some of us feel hurt and confused that he seemed to turn his back on us. But we can't let the events of the last week take away the memories of how much Chef made us smile. I'm going to remember Chef as the jolly old guy who always broke into song. I'm going to remember Chef as the guy who gave us advice to live by.'

Hayes: Well, I talked to Matt [Stone] and Trey [Parker] about that. They didn't let me know until it was done. I said, 'Guys, you have it all wrong. We're not like that. I know that's your thing, but get your information correct, because somebody might believe that [expletive], you know?' But I understand what they're doing. I told them to take a couple of Scientology courses and understand what we do. [Laughs.]
