It's no secret that we genocided the Indians. We put the survivors in ghettos and allow a few to become astonishingly wealthy through the operation of casinos, usually for, as I understand it, a very substantial kickback to the state. (Most of these Indians are now indistinguishable from white men, though whether that's the pressure of culture more than the pressure of genetics, I don't know.)

What makes me chuckle is seeing news interviews with Jane Doe in the street crying about the Indians annexing her land for a casino, going 'but these are our HOMES!'

But anyway. Give up Thanksgiving, whatever its past? Go meep self.

I recommend a cheap little [300pg] book called 'indians' it's available in the bargain trade section of your local mass market book seller [william brandon be the author]. Nice little history chock full of interesting things like the indians backstabbing each other while helping whitey kill them off.

Yeah, it's funny how a lot of pop culture portrays Indians as innocent, loving natives. They were people like any other; they warred against each other and enjoyed rape, incest and baby murder like any modern paleface.

They were still meeped for hundreds of years, lied to and cheated again and again. Some tribes can't even meeping catch fish to feed themselves without legions of rednecks grabbing guns and raising the unfair flag. I have no point to this and I will enjoy Thanksgiving in the traditional sense.

Ah yes, history does have a way of repeating itself over and over and over again. Killing peoples for their land and resources and attempting to enculturate the remaining survivors into homogenous God fearing democratic consumers.
