This is the Woman that has to live through my Psychotic Epispodes, Nights of Screaming Back Pain, Picky Eating, General Sniveling, and all other Unsavory Acts that a Man & Wife slog through over 15 years.

Here is the Goat Keeper, the Light on My Horns, the Grass in My Meadow, the Udder Like No Other.

She plays the violin & piano (as well as the guitar), and has that innate sense of Gypsy in her music. The song in the Heart is the one she lives.

The perfect counterpoint in the kitchen to my slaughterhouse 'the more animals that die for dinner, the better the meal' attitude, she always has the best breads or casseroles, knows how to be the hostess. Years of learning her class from the highest Washington Circles, she's always the polish on the silver. Her fine breeding extends far beyond her double-jointed hips.

Dvorak - Cello Concerto - Jacqueline du Pre Barenboim is just beautiful. I used to play violin and I've got to say that I loved playing in ensembles where there was a cello.

She's got short fingers, so we've been looking for a three-quarter size for a while, and right before her birthday, there it was, in good shape, with a bow and case, for about half of what we expected.

The last time I bought a violin it cost about $1500. The bow was worth $700 and I had it re-stringed with $100 strings. Just curious how much is a cello worth?

We've had our eye out for a 3/4 cello or a full size viola for years. we figured if we could find either for under a grand, we would have a good deal.

A full cello used runs from $1500-$5000, a 3/4 about the same. the bow alone is usually between $250-$1000 for a decent one. Strings...well, you can spend as much as you want, starting off at around $100 a set for crappy ones.

So, when we found one for well under $500 (even less than $375) in VERY GOOD SHAPE with a case, new strings, and a nice bow, even though we couldn't afford it at the time....

Yeah... You don't pass up a deal like that. The bills will wait a week.
