Humans May Have Saved World From Ice Age

HUMANS may have unwittingly saved themselves from a looming ice age by interfering with the Earth's climate.

A) This doesn't look very legit B) Its only 'delayed' the ice age C) We're talking about our survival, not the planets, and our survival is in jeopardy either way.

In the words of George Carlin, 'The planet is fine; the people are meeped.'

Ice age/global warming does not jeapordize life in the general sense. Only species like us.

You act as if humans have never lived in or through an ice age before...they did.

but realistically, there would be a huge die off rate if we plunged into one again. GOODBYE AFRICA!

I am pretty sure I would be ded if the outdoor temp dips below 7 or 8 degrees F. However I know I can withstand 111 or 112 degrees with 99% humidity. So I root for the global warming.

I love the way that people think that global warming is going to make the ice caps melt and sea level rise.

Even if the ice caps completely melted, it wouldn't effect the sea level very much.

Except for, even at current levels of water level change, Lousiana, much of coastal Europe and LA are going to be underwater in a century anyway.

The human race has survived an ice age before, and it took out most of us. I'm not saying we won't survive it, but we're looking at 6 billion dead and maybe the other .3 struggling to make it.

Beachgoat, isostatic rebound - after the ice sheets melted (fast) on the west coast the land rebounded upwards VERY fast. But yeah, those areas were at one time, UNDERWATER. There was rebound on the east coast but it has been a very gradual rise over the past 13,000 years. There are also some areas near the coast around here that were at one time forest but are now salt marsh as a result of the gradually rising sea levels over the last several hundred years. The dead stumps of the trees in the middle of what is now a salt marsh is conviencing evidence of global warming.
