It'll be back soon. Then they'll see what being crazy is really all about.

I am so GLAD to be of service here, i found this meep by major accident, Jeeves sent me to the RONG place. I knew right away that these 'ghouls' needed to meet some Swarmers. Hobo, 'my garlic breath broke the box', sorry for the meep earlier man, that is meepin classic. Life is sweet again.

Azron, your link above is fuked beyond belief. I could fix it but I'm feeling lazy.

I don't see what you guys are talking about, saying this site is blocked. I can hit it directly or by clicking the LS link at the top of this page. Their shoutbox is still crippled, though.

I imagine what the pinched, black-haired little admin is doing right now: waiting, counting the hours until they think we've lost interest and forgotten about them.

But here's what happens next.

We never forget.

So for now, stop following this link, and they'll stop seeing us in the referers.

And then, my fellow harassers? We shall launch a campaign of shoutbox and forum meepery the likes of which GOD HISSELF HAS NEVER SEEN!

Actually, Herr Webmistress Nitallico signed up to this very site today, saw these comments, and then came into IRC, where she proceeded to idle and refuse to explain psychic vampirism to yours truly.

She also refused to bring back the shoutbox. :<

What are you 2?

What are you, 74? Actually, you're probably one of those vampires, so I'm guessing you're really around 430 years old, with half the soul of a dragon and half the soul of a cat. Right?

when the meep was annoying people ever cool?

Hello, Planet Earth? When was pretending to be a creature of the night, and explaining it away in modern medical terms as suffering from some 'sanguinary' affliction cool? When was dressing up like a ridiculously disaffected pathetic phony teenager and pretending you had special magickal powers cool?

Actually, the magickal powers bit is cool. Tenser's Floating Disc? Awesome.

Let me guess you guys are the people that got picked on in highschool; and now you're taking it out on people that you not only don't know but dont' understand.

You just described vampires, y0.

What the meep did they do to you?

Acted as idiots in my sight.

Don't worry, though. It's basically all in good fun. Do you really think I'd seriously organize a pitched battle against some meep vampire website shoutbox? Come on. Don't take yourselves so seriously.

If you'd be willing to listen and chat in a mature manner i'd be willing to explain vampires to you.

Shoot. I think I already understand quite a bit, but it might be an interesting conversation.

They don't understand that we're likely to tease any one who seems to take himself too seriously.

/Don't worry, though. It's basically all in good fun. Do you really think I'd seriously organize a pitched battle against some meep vampire website shoutbox? Come on. Don't take yourselves so seriously./

I'm glad that was only talk, but what do you mean 'yourselves'? I'm only one person.

/What are you, 74? Actually, you're probably one of those vampires, so I'm guessing you're really around 430 years old, with half the soul of a dragon and half the soul of a cat. Right?/

no actually im 20, and seeing as the only vampires you have been exposed to are holywood creations, I'll ignore your ignorance. Vampires are not immortal never were and never will be. As for the souls, that's an entirely different topic... past lives... and that is something many believe in; not just vampires.

/Hello, Planet Earth? When was pretending to be a creature of the night, and explaining it away in modern medical terms as suffering from some 'sanguinary' affliction cool? When was dressing up like a ridiculously disaffected pathetic phony teenager and pretending you had special magickal powers cool?/

Not all Vampires believe themselvest o be creatures of the night, in fact very few do. As for suffering from a medical condition... you're right it's not cool but like any condition you have no choice and may need help coping with it. Dressing up?? ok now you have things confused, while yes some vampires do dress in 'interesting' clothing most are not vampires but rather LARPs. I trust you know what a larp is.

/Actually, the magickal powers bit is cool. Tenser's Floating Disc? Awesome/

Vampires are not given any more power than anyone else.

the vampiric condition is not one that is prefered (sp?) it is one that is there like a cancer, some choose to embrace it some hate it. A Vampire i a human who has a need for outside energy other than the typical food. There are two main categories of vampires the sanguinarians, those that drink blood, and the psychics. A sang usually only needs a shot glass of blood per month.

The psychic vampires on the other hand can take energy from, nature, emotion etc. this one is a little more difficult to understand. there are many different ways of feeding on energy and I don't know them all. but most is mind over matter. hope this explains things a bit better.

It seems safe to assume you're affiliated with Nitallica and/or her website of Internet Undead and Related Creatures Not Of This Earthe and/or other vampires.

As for it being only talk, well, no... it was harassment. A forum invasion in miniature. But it was a lighthearted diversionary one, and we're not going to look up physical addresses and come throw rocks into people's windows or anything. Just being jackasses.

no actually im 20, and seeing as the only vampires you have been exposed to are holywood creations, I'll ignore your ignorance.

Well, thanks, but how would you have any idea what I've been exposed to? Just because vampire forums and chatrooms are probably getting inundated with a lot of breathless undead wannabes who thought Tom Cruise/Wesley Snipes was really cool in 'that vampire movie' doesn't mean that's the extent of my experience.

On the contrary, I've been laughing at vampires and other 'special' people -- like werekin -- for years now.

Vampires are not given any more power than anyone else. the vampiric condition is not one that is prefered (sp?) it is one that is there like a cancer, some choose to embrace it some hate it. Until I see mention of any related condition by an accredited medical entity, I have to assume any claim to 'real' vampirism is just an meep trick to explain ones fantasy dialogue in terms of the modern world. 'No, I know it's the year 2004, and there's DVDs and genome mapping and stuff, but I really AM a vampire -- it's medical.'

Now, I could be wrong, cause I've never bothered looking into the claim... maybe you'll let me know.

/It seems safe to assume you're affiliated with Nitallica and/or her website of Internet Undead and Related Creatures Not Of This Earthe and/or other vampires./

actually I have never seen the site, and while I have come across Nitalica before I do not know her. I DO NOT associate with the undead as anyone who says they are undead in no doubt a liar and/or a larp.

/Well, thanks, but how would you have any idea what I've been exposed to? Just because vampire forums and chatrooms are probably getting inundated with a lot of breathless undead wannabes who thought Tom Cruise/Wesley Snipes was really cool in 'that vampire movie' doesn't mean that's the extent of my experience./

You're right I don't know the extent of you exposure to vampires, but judging by your reactions and satements it would appear that the only type of vampire you have truely been exposed to are holywood creatures. And I do agree that some people in vampire chat rooms are indeed just immitating their favorite movie vamp, but not all. And If Im wrong about the extent of your exposure please indulge me other than who and whom you haev laughed at.

/Until I see mention of any related condition by an accredited medical entity, I have to assume any claim to 'real' vampirism is just an meep trick to explain ones fantasy dialogue in terms of the modern world. 'No, I know it's the year 2004, and there's DVDs and genome mapping and stuff, but I really AM a vampire -- it's medical.'

Well then check out 'The Science of Vampires' by Katherine Ramsland Ph.D. ISBN:0-425-18616-4 Also look up rensfield syndrome. at the moment those are the only accredited things I can give you. I am still researching claims on psychic vampires the only thing I have found was docmeepented by NASA I'll post the guys name when I find the paper.

And yes in many if not most cases it 'is just an meep trick to explain ones fantasy dialogue in terms of the modern world' to put it in your words

Your source: 'Katherine Ramsland, Ph.D. has published twenty books. She holds graduate degrees in forensic psychology, clinical psychology, and philosophy. Currently she teaches forensic psychology at DeSales University in Pennsylvania'

3rd party reviews: 'The particular applications of theory aren't always convincing, but they will be entertaining'

'The Science of Vampires was enjoyable but I wish the content had followed the title a bit more.'

' I think the title of this book does it more harm than good'

'She argues that Dracula must have been a real person because there is a lot of 'proof' in the book that supports this argument? What kind of proof? Well, it is never really explained, as Ramsland loses focus and starts rambling on about all the different components of vampires.'

'If you are looking for solid facts and answers, you won't find them in this book.'

Online search for Renfield's Syndrome yielded only sites which hosted by the 'vampire' community. Simply put, IGORSHOUSEOFBLUDD.com does not yield credible evidence, but to give you benefit of the doubt I checked the Encyclopedia of Psychology and lo and behold Renfield's Syndrome is not listed.

I also checked with the APA guess what...that's right Renfield's Syndrome wasn't listed there either. Medical Dictionary Online---nope Medterms.com --- nada American Medical Association---RONG! British Medical Journal...WAIT...nope (I hope that you can deduce that I am establishing what we like to call, a trend)

But considering one of your only two sources (the esteemed Dr.Ramsland) I deduce that her expertise is not biology/chemestry or even physiology.

Her expertise is psychology, the practice of studying, teaching or applying an understanding of the mind, thought and behaviour.

It seems that by your own admission (by observing your, at best, questionable sources) those who engage in vampirism can be compared to those who constantly meep whilst wearing party-hats whilst standing knee-deep in meeporscotch pudding.

Or in other werds... FUKING CRAZY!

Hey, whats wrong with meeperscotch pudding?

It's CRAZY I tell ya

/'The Science of Vampires was enjoyable but I wish the content had followed the title a bit more.'/

fair enough it was a crappy book but I didn't put it up so that you could critique it, I was simply hoping that it would better explain the psychological problem. The sad thing about the way we think is that we often over look things for example many people do not view psychology as either scientific or medical, when in fact it is.

/'She argues that Dracula must have been a real person because there is a lot of 'proof' in the book that supports this argument? What kind of proof? Well, it is never really explained, as Ramsland loses focus and starts rambling on about all the different components of vampires.'/

actually there are many people that argue darcula was real, and I do believe that the legend of dracula came from a real person but was horribly distorted. Kind of like broken telephone (the game).

/Online search for Renfield's Syndrome yielded only sites which hosted by the 'vampire' community. Simply put, IGORSHOUSEOFBLUDD.com does not yield credible evidence, but to give you benefit of the doubt I checked the Encyclopedia of Psychology and lo and behold Renfield's Syndrome is not listed. /

Well all I can say is wait until school starts again and I will find you resources as the first person to mention this syndrome to me was Kirsten Madsen Ph.D. she is my psychology prof.

/But considering one of your only two sources (the esteemed Dr.Ramsland) I deduce that her expertise is not biology/chemestry or even physiology./

considering I never mentioned a biological problem why would you assume I ment that? as for chemistry well every disorder seems to produced by a chemical imbalance these days. and you know what all I said was the term medical, Im not sure why you haven't found anything but as I said above I don't have the resources here I will have to check it out at school.

meeperscotch pudding?? thats kinda kinkiy and gross all at the same time. lovely! oh just to be clear for the known part vampirism is a psychological problem, and has been compared to addiction to crack and such.

I understand that you are trying to go point/counterpoint with me, but you do not bring any substantial proof to the table to swing my meep vote. the very least you came up with when Vas questioned you was the pitiful: 'Well then check out 'The Science of Vampires' by Katherine Ramsland Ph.D. ISBN:0-425-18616-4 Also look up rensfield syndrome.'

After your perusal of this site did you expect that we'd all back down to the stoopid vampire claim, 'um ..gosh, she seems to have done her homewerk and named some type of syndrome thingy, I better back down!'

Live with the fact that the Linkswarm community has deemed you and your like meep, you should feel honored, some people do not warrant our attention at all.

Now gaze into Bloodybowels gaping colon of justice and assume the position.

Ok so I didn't have all my homework done on vampirism, I didn't expect to come here and have to defend what I know. and I was never upset that you don't understand vampires I was upset that you would act as you did towards someone elses site. but anyway since youve peeked my interest this is going to be the topic on my next thesis, so thanks for helping me out there. Anyway, here is what I got form Dr. Madsen:

Renfield syndrome -> You are probbaly having diffulty finding info on this syndrome because the APA refer to this syndrome still as clinical vampirism. Amongst others, Dr Richard Noll advocates for the title to be changed to Renfield syndrome.

Some possible sources of literature on the subject are:

Noll, R. Bizarre Diseases of the Mind

Dr. Philippe Jaffe does a fair bit of research on the subject, though much of it is in French.

Attached are some articles (including an english article by Jaffe et al) on the subject.

Until next week,

Kirsten

Dr. Kirsten Madsen School of Community & Liberal Studies Sheridan Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning

Title Clinical vampirism: Blending myth and reality. Abstract Reviews the clinical aspects of overt vampiristic behavior and its various definitions and describes its relationship with established diagnostic categories, particularly schizophrenia and psychopathy. The case of a 'modern vampire' is discussed with emphasis on many of the nosological difficulties associated with this pathologic behavior. As myth and reality are disentangled, clinical vampirism reveals the complex mother-child dyad's blood ties running amok. Title The stressful kiss: A biopsychosocial evaluation of the origins, evolution, and societal significance of vampirism. Abstract Provides a comprehensive historical and current investigation of the phenomenon of vampirism. In addition to the mythological concepts, vampirism is considered scientifically. This includes the anatomical, physiological, and stress-related aspects of love-, vampire-, and lethal biting. Other aspects discussed are the forensic methods used in the identification of these bites; the sociological, physiological, and stress-related manifestations and effects of vampirism; and the dangers of vampirism. Vampirism and stress are related in 2 ways. On the positive side, vampirism can provide temporary escape from the stressors of the 1990s; on the negative side is the sinister nature of engaging in ritualistic, cultic vampirism. The need is expressed for extensive psychological and physiological testing of modern day vampires to determine if there are psychological patterns that would predispose a person to becoming a 'vampire.' I don't think there is anything else to say on this subject, when I finnish my thesis I will post it online and ofcourse you're free to read it then. Untill then it's a waste of everyones time to debate this matter any further.
