I Googled.
So it is a Taiwanese copy of an early 70's Rice-grinder. That works. Those little Jappers were good bikes, especially when they were new. And the styling is timeless, so it will still look ok in ten years, if it survives that long.
As it is your first bike, just remember the two most important rules of motorcycling.
Rule 1. Keep the shiny side up.
Rule 2. There are old riders, and there are bold riders, but old, bold, riders are few and far between.
Enjoy your bike, and keep us posted on how it goes.

I got my first bike 2 years ago, a 2006 Suzuki gs500. I now ride a Honda 2001 vfr800.
As a relatively new biker myself I salute you.
You know there is risk involved in riding. Just be a risk manager.
Be defensive.
Ride like you are invisible to everyone.
Ride with maturity.
Prepare for lots of meep.
Welcome to the brotherhood.

^ Ride like you are invisible to everyone.
It won't be long before you approach an intersection with the right of way and see a car pull up to the stop or yield sign, come to a complete stop, look both ways and look STRAIGHT AT YOU, and then calmly pull right out in front of you. It's almost spooky.

Nice starter bike, now with the obligatory advice.
1) Put a windscreen on it, I know you want to look badass but something to smash the bugs and keep the wind off your chest after 5 hrs of riding is worth it's weight in gold.
2) Find the toolkit (it's under the battery on your bike) learn to not be stupid with them. Read this meep, do what it says for the love of pete .
3) Riding dehydrates the meep out of you without you noticing, drink a meepton of water on trips over 30 min.
4) Obey laws, most importantly the laws of physics.
5) LOOK WHERE YOU ARE meepING RIDING, NOT AT THE PAVEMENT IN FRONT OF YOUR GODDAM WHEEL LIKE SOME SORT OF meepGOT. Seriously, you bike ALWAYS goes where you are looking, so don't look at the deck like a moron, I can't stress this enough.
6) Slow down in the rain, to the point of exaggerating hilariously during corners, 80% of all motorcycle accidents are due to inappropriate speeds for driving conditions.
7) Get saddlebags (or a tank bag), put in a quart of motorcycle oil. Motorbike oil isn't usually stocked at local gas stations, and when you need it, you need it in a hurry. NEVER use automotive oil in your bike, unless you are empty and no other alternative presents itself.
Have fun

Thanks for the advices.
I've been driving a Honda Ruckus daily for almost 2 years now, and took a few minor spills on that already (one at 100mi, another at 1k. now at 4k). Learned many a lessons. In Texas, you pretty much have to take a rider safety course to get your moto license, so a lot of what's been mentioned has been covered.
Agreed on riding as if you're invisible, and going slow as meep on turns in the rain/wet conditions.
Already read through the manual LK linked BEFORE I bought the bike. Now I have a hardcopy that came with it too. And had the mechanic assembling it point out the toolkit for me.
Looking into a tank bag or saddlebags of some sort.
SYM had been making Honda's under license for years, so I'm pretty confident that it's a well made bike. Still need to name this baby, but that will come soon enough.
