I haven't camped at Canyon Lake in decades. I don't have fond memories of it, very rocky and no privacy between camp sites but I'm game to try again.

@Heather I live outside the loop on the north side. Canyon lake was fun when I went a few years ago, I don't know how it's fared since the drought. I'd be fine with other spots too.

The drought and fires should have abated by December.

Lets camp 12/1 - 12/4

For cold weather fun times, I propose Canyon of the Eagles.

We can do stuff if we want to do stuff. Or we can just sit around the fire and drink/eat for 3 days.

There is an observatory that's open to the public on December 3rd. I know you bishes love stars.

If anyone is bringing kids, there's a meepton of kid-friendly activities to take them on. I recommend the Owl Prowl, my children still have nightmares from it.

... b. Post whether you'd want to camp anywhere other than Chimney Slough which is where I'll be. If you prefer more primitive, there's Tanner Point. If you prefer less primitive there's cabins and if you're a giant meep, there's a lodge with room service.

... c. Vote for communal meals or every man for himself. If we do communal, one swarmer is responsible for one meal for the entire party.

My oldest son lives just north of Dallas, but he & his mate aren't the camping type, or I would sent a proxy goatlet (age 33, just a puppy).

Burn some meat for us, and suck down a beer & a shot.
